Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Bosman Adama White 2010, Wo Western Cape
South Africa$15.60
Peach and tart citrus aromas from the cork. Grapefruit, citrus, peach and mineral aromas. More grapefruit and stoney minerailty on the palate, joined by citrus and green flavours. Lively acidity with a short finish. Smells sweeter than it tastes, only very slightly off-dry on the palate. Quite good. Tasted Sept/2012.
Château De Galifay Cairanne Côtes Du Rhône Villages 2010, Ac, Rhône, France
Rhône, France$12.75
Plum and cherry wood aromas from cork. Very nice lavender, violet and toasty wood and licorice aromas. Medium-bodied with nicely integrated tannins. Sweet dark fruit flavours on the palate with some spice kicking in midway, leading to a smooth, herbal-note, medium-length finish. Very good acidity. An easy drinking red with some substance. Delicious. Tasted Oct 27, 2012.
Domaine Manoir Du Carra Cru Classé Julienas 2010, Ac
Beaujolais, France$14.75
Medium-intensity aromas of oak, blackberry and currant in this red wine. Medium-full bodied with flavours of black fruits, cedar, currant and cinnamon. Mouth-watering acidity and a medium-long finish. Chalky tannins will allow cellaring for 2+ years. This is a big Gamay.
Tasted May/2013 with other Beaujolais BBQ wines listed here:

Intense aromas of candied strawberry, cherry and floral aromas. Lush mouthfeel with ripe strawberry and cherry replays on the palate. Overall, it's very well-balanced by mouth-watering acidity. Lovely! Tasted Sept/2012.
Fielding Estate Bottled Riesling 2011, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Very lovely aromas of floral, lemon drops and citrus. Aroma replays on palate that also feature some intriguing honey notes. Very good acidity, quite well-balanced and finishes crisp. Tasted Sept/2012.
Chãteau Larose Trintaudon 2009, Cru Bourgeois, Ac Haut Medoc, Bordeaux
Bordeaux, France$30.95
60/40 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. From the great 2009 vintage and now at 10 years of age, this offers a pretty, fairly intense nose of dried cherry, floral, and red berry aromas that continued to evolve with each sip. It is full-bodied with smooth, refined tannins that are well-integrated. Peppery, tobacco, and earthy flavours join the dried cherry/berry and floral notes on the palate with very good acidity. Excellent finish length. Tasted Mar/2019.
Villa Ponciago La Réserve Fleurie 2011, Ac
Beaujolais, France$16.25

Nice aromas of apple, pear and butter waft from the glass. Medium-full bodied with nice aroma replays, plus some minerality and French oak on the palate. Some herbal/leesy notes come through on the mid-palate. Very good acidity and the finish is medium-long. Tasted Jan/2013.
