The fragrant, perfumed, medium-high intensity nose offers attractive black cherry & dark plum aromas flecked with dark red cherry, olive, currant, cedary oak & wet earth notes that add interest & complexity. It's medium bodied and dry on the palate w/ lovely dark currant, black cherry, plum, elegant cedary oak spice, with a touch of pleasant medicinal and eucalypt characters. Acids are fresh & nicely balanced, while the elegant tannins are smooth, supple & fine-grained. Savoury wet earth & woody notes linger on the long, juicy finish. Tasted Nov. 2023.

It's well-supported by juicy, well-balanced acidity & smooth, fine-grained & well-structured tannins. It's nicely balanced w/ savoury mineral notes on long, gently chalky finish, w/ excellent length. Screw cap. The fragrant and open, the medium-high to highly aromatic nose delivers rich, dark fruited, jammy blackberry, minty herb, and wood spice aromas layered over dark currant, and dark plum. It's medium+ bodied on the dry, dark, and sweet fruited palate with jammy blackberry, cedary oak, minty herb, dark currant, black pepper, black cherry, and dark plum flavours which are supported by fresh, well-balanced acidity. Ripe tannins are smooth and refined, with good structure and a mild grip. Smoky mineral notes linger on the long, savoury finish. Tasted Jan. 2024.

It's full-bodied and quite salty on the well-structured palate with currant, cassis, cranberry, tomato leaf, mint, herbal, cocoa, and mild oak spice flavours. Tangy acids are juicy and succulent, while the smooth, refined tannins have a lightly chalky textured grip. Earthy and cocoa notes, with smoky overtones linger on the long, savoury finish. The lovely, medium+ to medium-high intensity nose is quite complex and evolving in the glass with delicate mineral, lemon citrus, peach, apricot, and stone fruit aromas, plus spice and herbal notes. It has good weight on the dry, medium+ bodied and fleshy palate with ripe, lightly honeyed flavours of lemon citrus, peach, stone fruit, and melon flecked with leesy minerality. It has a finely textured mouthfeel, along with juicy well-balanced acidity. Leesy mineral notes linger on the long, juicy finish. Tasted Jan. 2024.

On the dry, medium-to-medium-full bodied palate it has pleasing sour cherry, black cherry, black tea, wood spice, and savoury earth flavours, which are supported by fresh, tart acidity, and light, grainy tannins. The finish length is very good. Would be worth seeing how this develops in 2-3 years. Tasted Apr. 2022.

Dry with lovely mineral-driven, dark fruited, blackberry, spice, black cherry, plum & herbal flavours. Structured with tangy and juicy acidity, and medium-firm structured tannins that offer a pleasant, gently chalky grip. Minerally with blackberry, black cherry & spice notes linger on the long, smoky finish. Tasted Feb. 2024.

On the dry, ripe, medium+ bodied palate it has lovely, elegant & balanced aroma replays of dark fruit, mineral, savoury wet earth, blackberry, black cherry & tobacco flavours w/ some spicy & herbal notes. Well-structured w/ very good acidity & grippy, structured & mouth puckering tannins. Minerally w/ dark fruit & tobacco notes linger on long, crisp, juicy finish. Tasted Feb. 2024.

On the medium-full bodied, structured palate it has dusty, grippy tannins that support the refined dark red cherry flavours. Acids are very good, while the finish length is excellent. This has clean, fresh, and elegant aromatics of medium-high intensity rising out of the glass with ripe lemon-lime citrus, some yeasty-leesy minerality, white peach, oyster shell & herbal aromas. It has very good weight and concentration on the medium+ to medium-full bodied, dry & lightly honeyed palate with delicious and complex citrusy, white peach, apple-pear, spice, and saline mineral flavours. It has nicely balanced, juicy acidity & a very finely textured mouthfeel. Apple & pear notes give way to leesy & oyster shell minerals on the long, crisp, and well-balanced finish. Tasted Apr. 2024.
