Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Keint He Voyageur Chardonnay 2012, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$16.00
Nose appeared somewhat muted. Palate is medium-bodied and full of mineral, tropical fruit and guava flavours. Acids are nicely balanced. Long finish that is sour-edged and tart with green apple notes. Tasted Apr/2014.
Flat Rock Nadja's Vineyard Riesling 2013, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$19.95
Medium intensity aromas with elegant mineral, orange citrus, tropical fruit and Flintstones vitamins. Juicy palate is medium-bodied with balanced aroma replays. Has vibrant acids to balance the sugar, bringing the sweetness down to the off-dry zone. Lengthy finish. Nice! Tasted Oct/2014.
Donatella Cinelli Colombini Leone Rosso 2010, Doc Orcia
Tuscany, Italy$20.95
Blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Merlot. Medium+ intensity aromas with a musky, matchstick, and smoke nose with underlying red cherry and berry notes.. It's fairly light-weighted with fresh acidity and fruit-forward flavours of red cherry, currant and red berries. Matured 18 months in French oak, the tannins are well-integrated. Finish is medium-length with subtle oak spice notes. Made in a very approachable style. Tasted Mar/2015. Score: 88+ pts

High intensity aromas of petrol and beeswax. Light-bodied and medium-dry sweet with mineral, lime and hints of peach on the palate. Bright acids and a taut, medium-long finish. Light and easy drinking. Tasted Apr/2014
Pascual Toso Malbec Limited Edition 2012
Mendoza, Argentina$16.05
A terroir-driven wine that hails from Barrancas, the 2012 is highly aromatic with mineral, wet stone and plum aromas. It's medium-bodied with refined tannins. Palate has mineral, dark fruit, wet stone, and elegant oak spice flavours. Very good acids and a long finish that is slightly warm. Tasted Apr/2014.
Schloss Castell Silvaner 2012, Qba Franken
Germany$18.75
Medium+ intensity aromas that are fresh and clean with notes of lemon/lime and lees. Palate is medium+ bodied and dry, with lively acids and good aroma replays. Subtle spice arrives mid-palate and lingers on the medium-long finish. Tasted May/2014.
Gérard Bertrand Côte Des Roses Rosé 2013, Ap Languedoc
Languedoc, France$18.95
Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah blend. Crisp, medium+ aromas that show clean mineral, garrigue, strawberry, rose petals, and rhubarb. Has a dry flavour profile that's medium-full bodied with considerable depth and pleasing aroma replays along with hints of green apple. Feels substantial in the mouth with bright acids and lengthy finish. Not your average rosé. Recommended if you prefer dry wines and if you don't like your rosé wines sweet. Tasted July/2014.
