Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Ventisquero Grey Glacier Single Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Trinidad Vineyard, Valle Del Maipo
Maipo Valley, Chile$19.95
The medium-high to highly aromatic nose is minerally and savoury with dark berry, olive and schisty aromas. The minerally and savoury notes continue on the medium-full bodied palate joined by smoky and dark berry flavours, followed by a tangy mid-palate. It has juicy acids and grippy, youthful tannins. Long, juicy, well-balanced finish. Will reward with time in the cellar and enjoy to the end of the decade. Tasted Nov. 2021. Score: 91+ pts
Poliziano Rosso Di Montepulciano 2019, Doc
Tuscany, Italy$20.95
Blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot, the medium-high to highly aromatic nose has a pretty bouquet of sweet red cherries, floral, spices, black cherry, and raspberry with savoury earthy undertones. On the medium-full bodied palate it has red cherry, raspberry, black cherry, and floral flavours wrapped around a savoury, earthy core. There's some warmth on the mid-palate, along with fresh acidity that is juicy and succulent, while the supple tannins have some grip. Savoury, earthy, and even some mineral notes linger on the juicy finish, with very good length. Tasted Feb/2022.

Mendoza, Argentina$22.95
This 100% Malbec has a fragrant, medium-high intensity nose that is stony with dark berry, and purple fruit aromas with subtle dark cherry, dried herb, and spice. The lovely stony notes continue on the dry, medium+ bodied palate with dark berry, purple fruit, spice, and plum flavours, all of which are supported by fresh, well-balanced acidity and refined, dusty textured tannins. Stony notes linger on the long, crisp, and balanced finish. Tasted Mar/2022.
Salentein Reserve Malbec 2019, Valle De Uco, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$19.95
Lovely, fresh, intense, dark fruited and savoury nose with aromas of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, earthy, violet, dried herb, and touches of wood spice. It's full-bodied, structured, and concentrated with savoury, earthy, dark currant, blackberry, black cherry, and dried herb flavours. Acids are juicy and succulent, while the youthful, fine-grained tannins have some grip and will soften with some time in the cellar. Structured with savoury, earthy, and wood flavours joined by some tangy berry notes lingering on the long finish. Tasted Feb/2022. Score: 90+ pts
