Villa Maria Private Bin Pinot Noir 2009, Marlborough
New Zealand$19.95
Classic NZ Pinot flavours, a tad light bodied.
Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon 2008, Knights Valley, Sonoma County
California, Usa$39.95
Nice rich Cab/Sauv nose, berries, wood-smoke, cassis, vanilla. I tasted a hint of mint which was nice. the tannins and structure are evident. It is balanced and complex not sweet or jammy. Really nice.
Domaine Belle Les Pierrelles Crozes Hermitage 2007, Ac
Rhône, France$22.95
Had a couple bottles in my cellar so I thought I'd try one...still not drinking the greatest, this sucker needs oceans of time to settle down. Really harsh and tannic still. The wine is extremely well made but currently lacks finesse. Flavours are still really muted. Glad i have another bottle for the decade wait.
Montirius Garrigues Vacqueyras 2009, Ac
Rhône, France$27.00
A deep dark ruby colour with a nice sophisticated nose of black and red licorice and ground black pepper. The palate is a creamy medium weight with nice blackberry/ blueberry, again licorice and pepper flavours. Also perhaps black olive? Super dry and structured with a stunning finish. Beautiful comes to mind. Decant for about 30 minutes and enjoy.
Pirramimma Petit Verdot 2006, Mclaren Vale
South Australia, Australia$24.95
amazing stuff. really if you like big fruit bombs, but with structure, all of Pirramimma's wines are amazing.
Norman Hardie County Pinot Noir 2009, VQA Prince Edward County, Unfiltered
Ontario, Canada$39.00
Great Pinot nose that offers cherries, vanilla oak with hints of earth. Light bodied and elegant but with noticeable fine tannins. Nice tension on the palate between sweet cherries and sour cranberries. Finishes dry and tart with nice mouth watering acidity.

Jean Paul Brun Côte De Brouilly 2009, Ac
Beaujolais, France$18.95
really light and not much to get excited about. Enjoyable plum mineral flavours, but nothing profound here.
Prado Rey Crianza 2006, Do Ribera Del Duero
Ribera Del Duero, Spain$20.95
From start to finish, everything about this wine is great. Classic spanish charm in this spicy cherry, cedary nose that plays out nice on the palate. The tannins are smooth but with a (classic spanish) dustiness. Nice firm finish. respectable wine.
