Señorío De P. Peciña Crianza 2011, Doca Rioja
Rioja, Spain$21.95
Classic Rioja, but with a velvety smoothness. Spicy cherries, tobacco, smoke with hints of earthy barnyard. For a Crianza, this is incredibly impressive. Highly Highly recommended.
Justin Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Paso Robles
California, Usa$33.95
liquid silk! Soft strawberry and creamy vanilla oak, a seductive wine, year after year. (Every year the label changes, cool fun fact)
Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Kentucky, Usa$45.95
Sweet vanilla oak with spice, smooth but bold.
Bachelder Niagara Chardonnay 2013, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$24.95
Smooth and caressing. I love the gentle qualities of this wine.
Pierre Henri Morel Signargues Côtes Du Rhône Villages 2010, Ac
Rhône, France$15.95
sweet scents of brown sugar, violets, black pepper, herbs and spice. Nice creamy body with structured dry tannins. Plenty of rocky minerals to satisfy. Finishes a tad short and sharp.
Southbrook Triomphe Cabernet Franc 2010, VQA Niagara On The Lake
Ontario, Canada$21.95
A wine made with passion and diligence with respect for the land. This organically grown wine finally proves what so many organic renegades already knew. You might think I’m full of it, but try this deliciously smooth Cabernet Franc and you will walk away a believer in the organic movement as well. Guaranteed.
Château Pech Redon L'épervier 2010, Ac Côteaux Du Languedoc, La Clape
Languedoc, France$24.95
Where do I start? This wine offers a nice old world funky (manure inspired) nose. The start, again is pleasant smooth and flavorful, but the finish is obnoxiously dry and bitter. My wife pointed out that the finish actually tasted like chewing on an aspirin… and after she did, that’s all I could taste.
Bachelder Bourgogne Chardonnay 2010
Burgundy, France$29.95
I love John Szabo's descriptor..."Cinnamon and Cassia bark" mmm I always have cinnamon on my Cassia bark for breakfast...lol
Falernia Reserva Carmenère 2007, Elqui Valley
Elquí Valley, Chile$19.95
wow...really the best carmenere i've tasted! so concentrated you think your drinking vicks cherry cough syrup. It's packed with sweet cherry, herb/ medicinal/ roasted jalapeno peppers flavour. needs time to soften, but then it's rich and silky smooth. GREAT FIND!
