Medium ruby colour with medium-intensity aromas of strawberries, chalk, blueberry, and vanilla. The flavours were the same with some chocolate, cedar, and menthol on the finish. March 2024

Goretti Le Mura Saracene Montefalco Rosso 2018, D.O.C.

Savoury green wine with Medium acidity with some dry tannins.

Aromas of oak, fig, pomegranate, cinnamon, balsamic, brown sugar and herbs. Taste of oak, vanilla, tobacco, coffee, prune and salt.

This would be perfect with spaghetti alla puttanesca.

Tolaini Al Passo 2017, Igt Toscana

Aromas of perfume, orange, plum, cherry, barnyard and a hint of molasses. The palate was full of juicy medium plus acidity to compliment the cherry, plum, orange, oak, molasses and violet notes. Dry dusty tannins at the start but settles after thirty minutes. Very soft drinking Tuscan

San Felice Il Grigio Riserva Chianti Classico 2019, Sustainable, Docg

Floral with a hint of earthy aromas along with raspberry ,orange, dried cherry, licorice and game. Juicy acidity on the palate with black cherry, raspberry, Orange, tomato and oak. Some dry tannins as it warms up. Nice chianti but should be even better in a year or two

Grapefruit, peach, grass, and oak aromas.

Light Flavours of peach, grapefruit, and cream gently coat the mouth. The finish has a subtle citrus taste that tingles like pepper, then it turns into Green melon as the finish stretches out.

Long finish and medium minus acidity on this wine, reminded me of a Sauvignon Blanc

Nice supple complex wine. unfolding layers of taste and smell. Plum, earth, violet, cherry, orange and some chalky tannins.

Ten-year-old St Estephe and what a banger food wine. No bricking on the rim but sediment inside the bottle. 56% Merlot, 40% Cab, 2% Cab Franc, 2%

Petit Verdot Medium minus aromas of cassis, dried red fruit, cream, potting soil, dried herbs, game, and perfume. A juicy delicious wine with flavours of cassis, red plum, cocoa, red currant, and a hint of dusty tannins. Medium plus acidity with soft tannins after 90 minutes. Lovely.- March 2024

Poplar Grove Cabernet Franc 2017, Okanagan Valley

The wine exudes a lovely fragrance of violet and ripe blackberry, with subtle notes of strawberry and potting soil. On the palate, the blackberry flavours are rich and accompanied by hints of bell pepper, roasted dried herbs, chili pepper, malt, and licorice. The wine boasts medium-minus acidity and a slightly dry, long finish, making it an excellent value. - June 2024

Henry Of Pelham Speck Family Reserve Baco Noir 2019, VQA Ontario

Aromas of brown sugar, black fruits, and balsamic. Juicy wine of olive, balsamic, and vinegar. it was like consuming a vinaigrette with black fruits, oak, vanilla, raspberry, salt, and black pepper tagging along. The overwhelming vinaigrette note pulls this wine down for me. Less of that and I would rate this higher
