Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Fragrant and ripe with floral, apple, peach, and a whiff of petrol on the nose. It's off-dry on the palate with ripe apple, lime, and white peach flavours. A touch glossy textured with some chalky mineral notes on the mid-palate. Long, juicy finish. Tasted Oct/2019.

Medium intensity nose has earthy, savoury, and meaty aromas, joined by black and blueberry notes. It's medium-full bodied with ripe fruited aroma replays that turns savoury on the mid-palate. Acids are juicy, while the finish length is very good. Tasted Jan/2020.
Castello Di Bossi C. Berardenga Chianti Classico 2016, Docg, Tuscany
Tuscany, Italy$22.95
100% Sangiovese. The fragrant, highly aromatic nose offers enticing rose floral, red and black cherry aromas joined by cinnamon, sweet spices, and leather notes. The medium+ bodied, juicy palate is fresh, spicy and a touch warming with cherry, spices, and clove, and leather flavours with touches of dried herb. Well-integrated tannins have a pleasantly subtle, textured grip, while fresh acids are slightly tart and limey. Chocolatey oak with touches of mineral linger on the finish, with excellent length. Tasted Aug/2020.

The perfumed, medium-high intensity nose offers lovely currant, cassis, herbal, and olive aromas with well-integrated oak and touches of graphite and cherry compote adding further interest. It's full-bodied on the smooth palate with dark berry, mild oak spice, and herbal flavours supported by balanced acidity and smooth, velvety tannins. Well-balanced throughout with salty mineral notes arriving on the mid-palate, joined by wood spice, savoury earthy, and chocolate notes that linger on the long, smooth and juicy finish. Zuccardi Q Malbec 2018, Uco Valley, Mendoza

The medium-high intensity nose has a savoury core surrounded by ripe blackberry, smoky mineral, and spice accented with violet florals. The palate is medium-bodied with more ripe blackberry flavours followed by spice, violet, and smoky mineral notes. There's some warmth on the mid-palate, along with fresh, lively acidity and smooth, fine-grained tannins that are nicely textured. Finishes with smoky mineral notes and some chalkiness on the long, satisfying finish. Tasted Jan/2021.
Invivo X By Sarah Jessica Parker Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$22.95
A composed, riper fruited Sauvignon Blanc with kiwi, guava, and tropical aromas, all of which come through on the nicely textured palate due to extended contact with skins, as well as some time on the lees in untoasted oak barrels. Acids are fresh and clean, while the finish length is very good. Tasted Oct/2019.
El Enemigo Chardonnay 2017, Mendoza

The elegant, medium+ intensity nose offers ripe lemon citrus and apple with touches of banana, tropical fruit, and vanilla. It is almost full bodied on the creamy palate with lovely ripe lemon citrus, and apple, and banana replays joined by leesy and nutty tones. Notes of pink bubblegum add further interest on the slightly hot mid-palate that is juicy with mouth-watering acidity. Apple and lemon with a leesy-nutty aftertaste on the long finish. Tasted Oct/2020.
