Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Domaine Jaeger Defaix Rully Mont Palais Premier Cru 2011
Burgundy, France$41.99
Very aromatic Chardonnay. Oak fermentation and ageing influence is evident with elegantly balanced aromas of apple, buttered popcorn, and pineapple. Medium-full bodied and a very creamy mouthfeel. Mineral driven palate, along with ripe fruit and pear flavours. Balanced acids and a long, smooth finish. Nice! Tasted Apr/2014.
Château Des Charmes Old Vines Riesling 2012, VQA Niagara On The Lake

Medium+ intensity aromas of petrol and sweet florals, along with minerally notes of slate and wet rocks. Medium-to-full bodied palate is off-dry and well-balanced with nice aroma replays, plus hints of Flintstones vitamins. Crisp, balanced acids and long, mineral-driven finish. Tasted Sept/2014.
Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Dry Riesling 2013, Clare Valley

Medium-intensity aromas that show lime, floral and mineral notes. It's light-weighted, clean, and refreshing with spring flowers and lime/lemon on the palate. Slightly off-dry with lively acidity, and a long, tarty finish. Tasted Feb/2014.
Tawse Pinot Noir Lauritzen Vineyard 2010, Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$44.95
Red berries and cherry aromas. Beetroot and strawberry flavours showcase fruit really well. Good balance between fruit and oak. Medium-bodied with a medium-long finish. Tasted Jan/2013.
Andrew Peller Signature Series Sauvignon Blanc 2012, VQA Niagara On The Lake
Ontario, Canada$24.75
Highly aromatic and complex nose featuring seaweed, lemongrass, saline, and wild herbal notes. Palate is medium+ bodied and rich with very nice, complex aroma replays. Balanced acids and subtle spice notes with excellent length on the finish. Fermented using wild yeast, 85% of which was barrel-fermented in French oak. Blew my mind! Highly recommended. Tasted Oct/2014.
