Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Konrad Riesling 2009, Marlborough, South Island

Floral, mineral, peach aromas. Orange & floral notes, finishes with peach. Dry. Tasted Dec/2010.
The Garden Path Shiraz/Cabernet 2006, Langhorne Creek, South Australia
Australia$17.95
Mint, cassis, black currant, oak, earth/barnyard aromas. Black currant and blueberries on the palate. Ripe tannins. Fleshy, medium-bodied. Tasty. Tasted July/2011.
Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Fun 2009
Beaujolais, France$12.49
This red wine is fruit forward with low- to medium-intensity cran-cherry and strawberry aromas. Bitter cranberry, sour cherry and fruity flavour profile. Good acidity, slightly hot finish. Easy drinking, good BBQ wine. Would probably have been more "fun" last year.
Tasted May/2013 with other Beaujolais BBQ wines listed here:

Cave Des Vignerons De Bel Air Beaujolais Villages 2009, Ac
Beaujolais, France$11.95
Cherry, strawberry aromas and flavours. Some pepper notes. Finishes a touch smoky. Light-medium bodied with a medium-long finish. A lighter style of wine that appears unoaked and ready to drink now. Tasty! Tasted April/2011.
Oscar's Estate Vineyard Shiraz 2008, Barossa Valley, South Australia
Australia$12.95
Pepper, mint, herbal, blackberry, light oak/smoke aromas. On the palate, it opens with surprising gobs of sweet mulberry. Settles down with ripe blackberry fruits and cocoa. Easy drinking and fruit forward. Tasted May/2011.
Renzo Masi Chianti Riserva 2007, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$16.95
Ripe black cherry, blueberry, cedar, mocha, plum aromas. Full of blackberry, cola, tobacco flavours. Quite bitter for my palate. A touch of acidity on the medium-bodied, long finish. Ready tannins. Tasted June/2011.
Yellow Tail Shiraz 2010
Australia$11.95
Screw top. Mulberry, sweet oak, earth aromas. On the palate more mulberry and herbal notes. Sweet, ripe fruit. Medium-full bodied, chewy mouthfeel with a long finish. Easy-drinking. Tasted Jan/2012.
Greenlane Greetings Cabernet/Merlot 2007, VQA Ontario
Ontario, Canada$12.95
Cassis, herbal, spicy notes. Ripe, round wine that has some tannin grip, but is easy drinking. Would match well with a wide variety of foods. Tasted Jan/2012.
Thorn Clarke Terra Barossa Shiraz 2009, Barossa Valley, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$16.95
Big aromas of lush blackberry, blueberry, earth, mint and pepper. Dark fruit flavours, dark chocolate, turning a bit spicy at mid-palate. Full-bodied, chewy. Dry. Ageable, but ready to drink now. Well-made Shiraz, but is bit too bitter for my taste. Tasted Oct/2011 and better on 2nd day.
Luigi Bosca Chardonnay 2010, Luján De Cuyo, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$14.70
Melon/peach aromas from cork. Mango, pineapple, oak and barnyard aromas from the glass. Tropical fruits with hints of juicy sweetness dance with apple and butter notes, giving way to oaky finish in this dry, full-bodied white wine. Tasty! Tasted June/2012.
