Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Mont Gravet Colombard 2017, Igp Côtes De Gascogne
Southwest, France$15.95
Fresh, clean and generous aromas of ripe peach, spring flower and pear, with some herbally hints. It is medium-bodied with clean, vibrant, and juicy acids supporting the ripe, slightly honeyed palate with citrus, peach, and herbal flavours. Good length on the finish with lemony notes. Tasted July/2018.
Cliffhanger Pinot Grigio 2017, Doc Trentino
Alto Adige-Trentino, Italy$15.95
Medium intensity aromas of ripe stone fruit, think yellow pear and peach, along with some citrus, floral and touches of honey. It is mid-weighted on the honeyed palate with sharp, juicy acids. Honeyed citrus, ripe pear and melon flavours with a kiss of sweetness on the flavour profile. A touch of mineral appears on the finish, with very good length. Simple and widely appealing. Tasted Feb/2019.
Montes Alpha Chardonnay 2016, Casablanca Valley
Casablanca Valley, Chile$19.95
The nose offers apple and pear with subtle wood and vanilla aromas, all of which come through on the light- to mid-weighted palate. It has good acidity, while the clean finish has very good length. Tasted Nov/2018.
Château Vrai Caillou 2016, Ac Bordeaux Supérieur
Bordeaux, France$16.95
From limestone-clay soils, this blend of roughly 55% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc has a ripe, medium intensity nose of dark cherry, earthy, red berry notes with touches of floral, savoury, and mineral characters. It's medium-bodied with nicely integrated, textured tannins and balanced acids. Pleasing savoury replays on the flavour profile, lingering through to the earthy finish, with very good length. Tasted Jan/2020.
In Situ Signature Wines Hillside Blend 2016, Aconcagua Valley
Aconcagua Valley, Chile$12.75
Tasted May/2019.
Château Du Vieux Puit 2015, Ac Blaye Côtes De Bordeaux
Bordeaux, France$17.95
80% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot. Fresh, medium intensity nose of currant, spice, and cocoa accented with herbal and olive notes. The medium-full bodied palate is lush with blackberry and spice flavours, along with hints of black plum, all supported by juicy acids. Structured tannins are somewhat chalky, but approachable. Dark berry and cocoa notes linger on the long finish. Enjoy over the next 5-7 years. Tasted June/2019.
