Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Bodegas Langa Pi 3.1415 Concejón 2008, Wine Of Aragón
Aragón, Spain$17.95
Burnt cherry, black plum aromas from the cork. Medium intensity toasty vanilla oak, currant, and meaty aromas. Medium bodied with ripe tannins and flavours of dark fruits, plum, and hints of lavender. Some mocha notes develop in the glass. Good acids and a finish that is smooth and lengthy. Could be aged 1-2 years, but enjoyable now. Tasted Sept/2013.
Vieni Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, VQA Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$19.95
Medium-high intensity nose offers lovely black cherry, blackberry, smoky oak, earth and hints of cassis. The palate is full-bodied with well-integrated tannins offering good structure and pleasing aroma replays on the flavour profile. It has very good acids and a nice, long finish. Drink over the next 6 years. Tasted June/2016.
Chateau Des Charmes Riesling Estate Bottled 2008, VQA Niagara On The Lake
Ontario, Canada$10.20
Lovely floral aromas. Mineral, slate and petrol on the palate. Crisp acidity allows it to be paired with meals. Off-dry and delicious. Tasted Jan/2012.
Trapiche Gran Medalla Malbec 2013, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$25.95
Medium-high intensity nose is pretty with floral, violet, sweet oak, dark berry and blackberry aromas. It's medium-full bodied on the palate with gritty tannins, but otherwise smooth. Nicely balanced aroma replays, with balanced acidity and very good length on the finish. Tasted Sept/2017.
Chateau Des Charmes Generation Seven Red 2009, VQA Niagara On The Lake
Ontario, Canada$11.95
Screw-top. Made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Merlot and hint of Gamay Noir. Bright red fruit aromas turn to dark fruit as it warms up in the glass (this was pulled directly from the cellar and opened). Dark berries, blackberry aromas with hints of oak. Blackberry with hints of licorice and spice on the palate. Light- to medium-bodied with ripe fruit and tannins, this is a smooth and easy drinking red that is ready to drink now.
