Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Casa Castillo Monastrell 2010, Do Jumilla
Murcia, Spain$14.95
Meaty and fleshy plum aromas from the cork. Aromas of blackberry, violet, cedar oak, and smoked meat from the glass. Medium-bodied on the palate with ripe, dark fruits and subtle violet notes. Very smooth and well-balanced with very finely-grained tannins. Delicious and a great value! Tasted Oct/2012.
Lighthall Pinot Noir 2010, VQA Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$25.00
Medium-high aromas featuring red currant, cherry and cola. Medium+ bodied with very good acids. Flavour profile echoes the nose with spice, red currants and cherries. Oak leads the way on the long finish. Tasted Apr/2014.
Cave De Lugny Brut Rosé Crémant De Bourgogne, Sustainable, Traditional Method, Ac, Burgundy, France
Burgundy, France$16.75
Tasted Oct/2019.
Coyote's Run Black Paw Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2010, VQA Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula

This wine has intense dark fruit aromas with some smokiness on display. Dark fruit, smoke and spice flavours on palate. Full-bodied with mouth-watering acidity. Tasted Jan/2013.
Gray Monk Gewurztraminer 2011, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$19.95
Quite aromatic with lemon, mineral and herbal spice aromas. Light-bodied with crisp, tart lemon, citrus, orange rind and some lychee on the palate. Has very bright acidity. Finish is medium-length and spicy. Tasted Jan/2013.
Chapel Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Mclaren Vale
South Australia, Australia$26.95
High intensity aromas featuring cassis, earth, cedar, and black fruits. Chalky tannins on a full-bodied frame with dark fruits and underlying hints of cassis & oak on the palate. Mouth-watering acids and a long, smooth finish. Tasted May/2013.
Château De Pierreux Brouilly 2011, Ac
Beaujolais, France$18.95
Medium intensity violet and floral aromas. Black fruits, currant and violet flavours, with spice kicking in mid-palate, and finally giving way to dark fruits on the medium-length finish. Good tannins, could reward ageing 1-2 years.
Tasted May/2013 with other Beaujolais BBQ wines listed here:

Rosewood Süssreserve Riesling 2010, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$12.25
Made using the more traditional (for Ontario) Weis 21B Riesling varietal. Relatively closed nose with aromas of lime, mineral, petrol and honey. Medium-dry on the palate with lots of minerality and some petrol and honey notes. Good acidity, and very-well balanced. Finish is sweet (but not too sweet or cloying) and long. Tasted Oct/2012.
Featherstone Cabernet Franc 2011, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Bottled just two days prior to my tasting. Intense oak and cedar aromas with some raspberry and dark fruits in the background. Has good fruit, structure and acidity, but still very tight and grippy. Tannins will settle very nicely in a couple of years. Has potential to be better than 2010. Tasted Sept/2012. Score: 90 pts.
Sour cherry, strawberry and earthy aromas. Medium-bodied with good integrated tannins. Cranberry-pomegranate flavours on the palate, some cherry as well. Nicely balanced with round mouthfeel. Smooth, medium-length finish. Tasted June/2013. Score: 88 pts.
Kellerei Kaltern Caldaro Pinot Grigio 2011, Doc Alto Adige
Alto Adige-Trentino, Italy$16.95
Lime, tropical fruit, and floral aromas of medium intensity. Medium-full bodied on the palate with crisp, lively acids. Tropical fruit, mineral, honeysuckle flavours. Grippy, lengthy finish. Solid, above average PG. Tasted July/2014. Score: 88+ pts
