Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.

Fresh, attractive, and ripe with kiwi, guava, tropical fruit, herbs, and lemon/lime citrus aromas that echo nicely on the palate and supported by clean, well-balanced acidity. Very good length on the crisp and dry finish. Tasted Nov. 2022.

This blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Syrah, and 19% Carignan has a medium to medium-high intensity nose of herbs, red & black fruit, currant, and cassis aromas. It's medium-full bodied with very good weight on the palate and woody aroma replays on the flavour profile. It has very good acidity and grippy tannins, while the finish length is very good. Tasted Nov. 2023. Score: 88+ pts

On the dry, medium to medium-full bodied palate it offers deliciously harmonious, ripe, and fruit-forward flavours of red currant, cran-cherry, cassis, and red plum, plus touches of earthy oak adding savoury tones. It has fresh, juicy acidity and smooth, creamy, and fine-grained tannins. It has a supple grip with savoury, earthy oak & touches of mineral notes lingering on the finish, with very good length. Crafted mainly with Sangiovese, the medium+ to medium-high intensity nose offers enticing red and black cherry, spices, cedar wood, wet earth, and baking spice aromas. It's medium+ bodied and dry with elegant red and black cherry, and savoury wet earth flavours accented with oak spice, cedar, and forest floor notes. It has fresh, juicy acidity and while the grainy textured tannins have some tannic grip. There's a touch of graphite minerality on the mid-palate which lingers through to the savoury, smoky, long, and juicy finish. Tasted Feb. 2024.

This organic white wine is a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Sémillon. The medium to medium-high intensity nose offers an attractive bouquet of citrus, apple, grapefruit, orange, and honeysuckle aromas layered over guava, passion fruit, and tropical fruit notes. It has good concentration on the dry, medium+ to medium-full bodied with lovely citrus, grapefruit, white floral, herbal, and spice flavours. It's supported by fresh, lemony acidity, while citrusy, spice, and mineral notes linger on the juicy finish, with very good length. Tasted Mar. 2024.

This blend of 50% Vermentino, 30% Grechetto, and 20% Trebbiano has an elegant nose of lemon citrus, herbs, and earthy minerality. On the dry, medium to medium-full bodied palate it has an elegant and fine sandy texture with very nice aroma replays joined by floral characters. Along with juicy acidity, it has lovely citrus and floral notes lingering on the long, fresh finish. Tasted Oct. 2023.

This has a fragrant, medium-high to highly aromatic nose of coconut and butter aromas that surround a core of ripe yellow apple, yellow citrus, and lemon, plus touches of vanilla. It’s full-bodied on the dry palate with delicious sweet-fruited ripe stone fruits, apple, butterscotch, oak spice, and toasty flavours, along with touches of vanilla and mineral adding complexity. The juicy, crisp acidity delivers a smooth, nicely textured mouthfeel. Some banana notes on the mid-palate. Citrus and spice notes linger on the long, well-balanced finish. Tasted May 2024.

This 100% Xinomavro has a lovely, medium-high intensity nose of Bing red cherry, currant, clove, sweet spice, and cinnamon aromas. It's medium-bodied on the dry, structured palate with lovely red cherry, earthy, and spice aroma replays. It has juicy, balanced acidity, while cherry and oak spice notes linger on the long finish. Still very young and should drink well to at least the end of the decade. Tasted Oct. 2023.
Stel + Mar Chardonnay 2021, California

With 60% Mendocino and 40% Lodi fruit, this 100% Chardonnay was fermented in stainless steel and aged slightly on its lees in oak. It has some elegance to the medium+ intensity nose which features pear and apple, fruit forward aromas with touches of lemon citrus and earthy-stony minerality adding complexity. On the dry, medium-full bodied palate it has a lovely earthy mineral, pear, apple, and spice flavours which are supported by well-balanced acidity. It's nicely textured with delicious pear and apple notes lingering on the long, balanced finish. Tasted Apr. 2024.
