Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Château Cazal Viel Vieilles Vignes 2016, Saint Chinian
Languedoc, France$15.75
A blend of 78% Syrah, 20% Grenache, and 2% Mourvèdre that has a fresh, medium-high to highly aromatic nose of mineral followed by fruity blackberry, dark berry, and herbal notions. It is full-ish bodied on the palate with more dark berry and mineral notes joined by touches of smoke, spice, and peppery herbs. It has supple, integrated tannins and very good acidity, while the finish is long with curranty notes. Tasted Aug/2019.
Momo Pinot Noir 2016, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand
Marlborough, New Zealand$19.95
Screw cap. This organic wine has a medium intensity nose that offers ripe and attractive raspberry and cherry aromas with earthy and spicy undertones. It is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, elegant tannins on the palate with cherry, raspberry, earth, and beetroot flavours. Hints of tea leaf and cola arriving mid-palate add to the complexity, while tannins have a nice chalky texture. Acids are fresh. Very good length on the earthy, forest floor, and somewhat grippy finish. Enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Score: 88+ pts
Terredora Di Paolo Loggia Della Serra Greco Di Tufo 2016, Docg
Campania, Italy$23.95
Tasted Oct/2017.
Nederburg Heritage Heroes The Anchorman 2017, W.O.
Paarl, South Africa$14.75
Medium+ intensity nose is subtly oaked with stone fruit and lanolin aromas and flavours. It's richly structured and balanced with crisp acids and good finish length. Tasted May/2019.
Jackson Triggs Entourage Grand Reserve Brut Sparkling 2015, Traditional Method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$29.95
Re-tasted Oct/2019 - Score: 89 pts
A sparkling wine that is tart and sour with pink grapefruit notes, followed by some brioche, leesy and green stemmy aromas and flavours. It comes off as mostly dry on the palate with frothy mousse and a toasty brioche edge. Nicely balanced with a medium-long finish. Tasted Sept/2017. Score: 88 pts
The Hedonist Shiraz 2015, Mclaren Vale, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$21.95
Tasted Sept/2019.
