Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Fabre Montmayou Reserva Cabernet Franc 2016
Mendoza, Argentina$18.95
Medium-high intensity nose is fresh with dark berry, stony mineral, and a hint of floral. It is medium+ bodied on the palate with nice aroma on the flavour profile, plus clove spice notes. Acids are balanced, while tannins are quite smooth and refined, but have some grip on the long, herbally tinted finish. Tasted Aug/2019.
Winzer Krems Grüner Veltliner 2017, Dac Kremstal
Kremstal, Austria$15.95
Medium+ intensity nose offers lime citrus, stony mineral and herbally hints. It's light-to-mid weighted with bright, fresh, and vibrant acidity supporting the ripe, concentrated flavours that mimic the bouquet, plus some white pepper notes. Nicely textured with a long, crisp, lip-smacking finish. Tasted Aug/2019.
La Fleur De François Brut Crémant De Bordeaux, Traditional Method, Ac, Bordeaux, France
Bordeaux, France$16.95

Emiliana Signos De Origen La Cantera Garnacha/Mourvèdre/Syrah 2015, Do Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$19.95

Château Hauchat 2016, Ac Fronsac
Bordeaux, France$17.95
This 100% Merlot was aged for 15 months in an equal parts new, 1 year old, and 2 year old barrels. Enticing and complex, this has medium+ intensity aromas of spice mingling with ripe dark berry fruit, wood, and hints of vanilla and plum. It is medium-full bodied on the palate with dark berry, currant, cedar oak, and spice flavours. Acids are juicy while the ripe tannins are quite chalky and a bit tight at the moment. Dark berry, clove spice, and wood linger on the finish, with very good length. I would cellar this for 2 years and enjoy into the mid-20's. Tasted Aug/2019.

Jackson Triggs Okanagan Grand Reserve Red Meritage 2016, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
