Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

The medium+ intensity nose is perfumed with spice, dark berry/cherry, earthy, and beet root aromas. The medium+ bodied palate has good concentration with very good acidity and smooth, refined tannins. It's well-knit and harmonious with nicely balanced savoury, earthy, dark berry, cherry, and spice flavours that linger through to the long finish. Tasted Dec/2019.

Vague notions of curranty red and black fruit aromas from the cork. The medium intensity nose is ripe, offering aromas of cassis, black currant, dark fruit, grilled pepper and oak, with touches of mint. The medium-full bodied palate has a mix of red & black fruits, cassis, and oak notes on the flavour profile. Lively acids on the mid-palate. Tannins are supple and rounded, but gain some grip on the mid-palate. Woody notes linger on the long, dry finish. Drinking well now and should continue to drink well over the next 2-4 years. A fruit-forward, black plum, and blackberry flavoured wine with soft and plush tannins. Hints of pepper, spice, and touches of floral emerge with time. Acids deliver freshness. Some earthy mineral notes arrive on the finish, with good length. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Syrah, and Tinto Cão. Tasted Feb/2019.

Medium+ intensity nose has garrigue, peppery spice and earthy elements, along with curranty dark fruit and a hint of violet, with much of the same on the palate joined by minty notes. It's medium-full bodied with supple tannins rounding into form. Some coffee notes mid-palate. Acids are fresh and juicy, while the finish length is very good with a minty-garrigue after taste. Solid buy. Tasted Mar/2018. Score: 88+ pts

The medium+ intensity nose offers an exotic candied ginger, orange blossom, citrus and white peach in a honeyed profile that also comes through in the off-dry palate. This has crisp, balanced acids that are a touch tart. Finish length is excellent. A perennially lovely wine to enjoy over the next 5 years. Tasted Sept/2017. Score: 89+ pts

The medium+ intensity nose is pretty and ripe with blackberry and black plum aromas, with touches of floral, mineral, tea leaf, and herbs. It is medium-full bodied and clean with nice aroma replays and very good fruit expression on the palate. Ripe tannins are smooth and well-integrated. Nicely textured with some chalkiness. It has good acidity and a juicy mid-palate. Very good finish length. Drink over the next 1-2 years. Tasted Aug/2018.

85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Ripe blackberry, plum and earthy aromas from the cork. In the glass, the nose is subtle with ripe red cherry, raspberry, and blackberry with a tinge of prune. On the palate, this has more prune notes followed by dark cherry, cedar oak, and peppery nuances. Dry overall with fresh acids, structured tannins that drying on the mid-palate. Good length on the dry, woody, earthy, and dark berry finish. Tasted Feb/2018.

Fresh, medium-high intensity bouquet of exotic spice, tea leaves, blackberry, black plum, and hints of purple flower aromas. It's medium-bodied on the palate with fine tannins offering nice texture and building with air. Flavours lead with tea leaves, spice, and graphite layered on top of floral and dark plum notes. Fresh acids are bright and juicy. Some warmth on the mid-palate. Shows fine balance overall, finishing with graphite and dark berry flavours. Really digging concrete-aged wines like this. Enjoy this organic wine over the next 3-4 years. Tasted Jan/2018.
