Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Bodem Les Margas Garnacha 2017, Do Cariñena
Aragón, Spain$19.95
Fresh, lifted medium+ intensity nose offers stony mineral, spice, and red berry aromas that follow through on the ripe, medium+ bodied palate and supported by juicy acidity. Tannins are supple, while the lengthy finish is juicy. Tasted Nov/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Finca Los Maza Reserva Malbec 2016, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$17.00
Fresh, medium+ intensity nose that's fairly complex with purple fruit, violet, spice, sweet oak, and dark berry aromas. It's medium+ bodied with more dark berry, violet, floral, and spice flavours with touches of smoky mineral on the tail end. Tannins have some structure and are a touch grippy, while acids are very good. Touches of chocolate add further complexity to the long finish. Tasted Dec/2019.
Rodney Strong Sonoma County Chardonnay 2017, Sonoma County
California, Usa$25.75
Open, fragrant, medium-high intensity nose that has buttery, vanilla, baked apple, pear, and butterscotch aromas and flavours. A touch sweet with butterscotch flavours becoming more prominent on the medium+ bodied, creamy palate. It has very good acids and finishes long. Tasted Oct/2019. Score: 88+ pts

Domaine Lafage Cayrol Vieilles Vignes Carignan 2016, Igp Côtes Catalanes
Languedoc, France$18.95
From 60 year-old vines Carignan, this has a medium+ intensity nose of dark cherry, black currant, herbs and spices. It's full bodied very good fruit concentration and very nice aroma replays plus stony mineral notes adding interest. It has very good, fresh acidity, textured tannins, and long finishing that is a touch warming, but still balanced. Tasted Jan/2020.
Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium Schiefer Feinherb Riesling 2017, Qualitätswein
Mosel, Germany$20.95
The medium+ intensity nose offers peach, stone fruit, lemon citrus, orange and honey aromas along with whiffs of petrol. It's medium bodied and medium sweet on the palate with nice aroma replays lifted by clean, bracing acidity. Very good length on the lip-smacking finish. Tasted Jan/2020.
Gerard Brisson Les Charmes La Louve Morgon 2018, Ac
Beaujolais, France$20.95
This Gamay has a funky mineral nose followed by red fruit, cherry, and barnyard aromas. The medium-bodied palate is also quite minerally with dark berry, black berry, and black cherry flavours. Light tannins are ripe, smooth and velvety. Acids are fresh. Earthy-barnyard notes linger on the long finish, with excellent length. Tasted Jan/2020.
