Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Fincas Las Moras Paz Malbec 2017, San Juan
San Juan, Argentina$14.25
Clean, medium+ intensity aromas of fine sweet spice, ripe dark berry, cherry, incense, with touches of floral and slightly raisined characters, with pleasing replays on the palate. The medium-full bodied palate is supple with some structure to the tannins that have some grip. Dark berry notes linger on the long, juicy finish. Approachable now, but better in 2 years. Tasted Nov/2019.
Tessellae Old Vines Grenache/Syrah/Mourvedre 2017, Ap Cotes Du Roussillon, Midi
Midi, France$19.95
A blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre that was raised mostly in concrete, this has a medium+ intensity, ripe, and fruity nose red cherry and blackberry, followed by sweet spices, kirsch, and incense with touches of floral. All of this comes through on the medium-full bodied palate with spice and mineral notes. It has supple, well-integrated tannins that have a slightly chalky texture. Long, juicy finish. Tasted Nov/2019.
Quinta Do Sagrado Reserva 2016, Doc Douro
Douro, Portugal$31.95
This blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz has a fresh, medium-high intensity nose that leads with smoky, flinty minerals, followed by black spices, earth, and dark berry. It is medium-full bodied with very nice, balanced aroma replays, supported by fresh acids and structured tannins. Finish is long and juicy. Approachable now, but will be better in 3+ years. Tasted Nov/2019.
Pirramimma Petit Verdot 2016, Mclaren Vale, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$28.95
Fresh, medium-high intensity nose is bright fruited with purple fruits, blackberry, vanilla, plum, and some sweet spices. It's full-bodied and dense with very nicely balanced aroma replays on the crunchy palate with tannins offering some chalky grip. Very good length on the juicy, clean finish. Tasted Nov/2019.

Nicely balanced with a long, sticky finish. Tasted Nov/2019. Score: 90+ pts
