Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Intriga Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Maipo Valley
Maipo Valley, Chile$22.95
Medium-high intensity aromas of red & black fruits, and some cassis, mint, and hints of graphite. It's full-bodied on the palate with aromas replays echoing very nicely on the flavour profile. Acids are very good. It has refined tannins that are well-structured. Nice, long finish. I would age this 3+ years to let fully blossom. Tasted Nov/2016. Score: 90+ pts
Vineland Estates Elevation St. Urban Vineyard Riesling 2015, St. Urban Vineyard, VQA Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$19.95
Served much too cold, but hints of orange citrus, petrol, Flintstones vitamins, and golden apple peek through as it warms. It's medium-bodied with nice, brisk acidity to keep things fresh. Pleasing semi-sweet aroma replays on the palate with nuances of apple and honey. Finish is long and minerally. Tasted Nov/2016.
Tahbilk Marsanne 2015, Nagambie Lakes, Central Victoria
Victoria, Australia$17.95
Spring flower aromatics of medium intensity followed by tropical fruit and herbally notes, with more florals that continue on the palate. Crisp, balanced acids are refreshing. Long, clean finish. Tasted Feb/2016.

Achával Ferrer Malbec 2015, Mendoza

Medium-high intensity nose offesr black tea leaf, floral, dark berry, black spices, and hints of black plum. It's medium-bodied on the palate with soft, light tannins and nicely balanced aroma replays plus subtle oak spice on the flavour profile. Southbrook Triomphe Chardonnay 2015, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$24.95
Stelvin screw cap. Subtle aromas of orchard fruits, earth and yeast. The palate is medium+ bodied with more orchard fruit flavours like apple and pear, with underlying earthy flavours, and ending with slightly honeyed notes. Some interesting salty notes mid-palate. Acids are prickly and juicy, providing freshness. Finish is earthy and dry, with very good length. I would put this away for another year to let it develop further. Serve with only a light chill. Tasted Jan/2017.
