Blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium-high intensity nose is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark currant, dark plum, and savoury earth aromas with touches of wood, cassis, and herbs. It's medium-to-full bodied on the palate with flavours of black cherry, dark berry, plum, blackberry, currant, and cassis alongside subtle savoury earth and spice, plus spearmint notes. It has fresh, balanced acidity and well-structured tannins that have a subtle chalky grip. Very good length with black cherry and hints of mineral on the finish. Tasted Apr/2021.
Domaine De Côtes Rémont 2018, Ap Chénas

This 100% Gamay pours a fairly deep ruby-purple colour. The medium-high intensity nose is rich, complex, and ripe with cran-cherry, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, and spice aromas. The light-to-medium bodied palate has ripe, tangy red fruits, raspberry, plum, cran-cherry, and currant flavours with subtle spice and floral notes. There is fresh, juicy acidity and some structure to the light tannins. Tangy red fruits with spice and floral notes linger on the long, structured finish. Tasted Apr/2021.

The medium to medium-high intensity nose is very ripe with red fruits, candied red cherry, currant, and cassis aromas. It's medium-full bodied with nice fruit-acid-tannin balance and pleasing aroma replays joined by earthy flavours and some medicinal notes. Smooth, fine tannins. Very good length on the finish. Tasted Apr. 2022.

Tank sample. Very similar to 2018, this Albariño has fresh lemon citrus, floral, and herbally aromas. The medium+ bodied palate is crisp and nicely textured with more ripe, lemon citrus, floral, lemongrass, herbs, and anise flavours, It has juicy acidity and touches of mineral on mid-palate. Dry, crisp, and clean with very good length on the finish. Tasted Mar/2020. Score: 88+ pts

The fragrant, medium to medium-high intensity nose delivers dark berry, earthy, white pepper, and blackberry aromas It's medium to medium+ bodied on the palate with lovely aroma replays supported by fresh, juicy acidity, and edgy, grippy tannins. Nicely balanced with earthy and dark fruit flavours lingering on the long finish. Tasted May 2022. Score: 90+ pts

Fresh, intense aromas of lemon citrus, herbs, and ripe pear, accented by hints of lemon pith, leesy and saline mineral. The medium-full to full-bodied palate is creamy textured and ripe with lovely pear, apple, lemon citrus flavours, along with herbal touches. Refreshing acids lift the palate, along with saline notes on the mid-palate. Slightly spicy on the tail end with saline, leesy mineral, and zesty notes lingering on the long finish. Tasted Oct. 2021.

It has a fresh, medium-high intensity nose with aromas of ripe stone fruits such as pear, apple, and lemon citrus, along with some tropical fruit and peach layered over butter and toasty vanilla notes. It's medium+ bodied on the slightly warming palate with more ripe apple, pear, and lemon citrus notes joined by vanilla and butter flavours. Acids are well-balanced, while some leesy mineral and coffee notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted July/2021.

This 100% old-vine Garnacha pours a pretty, pale salmon colour. The medium+ intensity nose offers aromas of grapefruit, red berry, citrus, and herbs with subtle honey and floral undertones. The dry, mid-weighted palate is fleshy with ripe red berry, strawberry, grapefruit, citrus, and floral flavours with subtle herb and white pepper spice notes adding further interest. It has fresh, balanced acidity and zesty flavour replays on the dry, slightly minerally finish, with very good length. Tasted July/2021. Score: 88+ pts

Screw cap. The fresh, intense nose is highly aromatic with ripe guava, kiwi, melon, tropical fruit, and citrus aromas nuanced with earthy minerals and herbs. The clean, fresh palate has more ripe tropical fruit, guava, kiwi, citrus, and melon flavours in a spicy profile with fresh, clean acidity. Juicy herbs with citrus and melon linger on the long, distinctively mineral finish. Tasted July/2021.
Kaiken Ultra Chardonnay 2019, Mendoza

The open, medium-high intensity nose has yummy tropical fruit, pineapple, lemon citrus, and stone fruit aromas. The full-bodied, crunchy and creamy palate has very good fruit concentration with citrus, ripe apple, and smoke flavours accented with vanilla, butter, and a touch of pink bubble gum adding complexity and interest. Acids are well-balanced, while the lingering, citrusy finish has a slightly chalky texture, with some saline mineral notes on the aftertaste. Tasted July/2021.
