Quinta Do Cardo White 2023, D.O.C. Beira Interior

Made with indigenous grape variety siria, also known as roupeiro in Alentejo. It is distinctly salty and delicately fleshy, with refreshing acids. Assorted citrus fruit and tart orchard fruit notes linger on the finish.

Straightforward, fresh, crisp. Citrus followed by long green apple finish - very nice.

Torre Zambra Madia Montepulciano D'abruzzo 2021, Doc, Sustainable, Vegan

The de Cerchio family's entry point montepulciano aged exclusively in concrete, this is, pleasantly plush and round, plump and fruity, highly drinkable wine with broad appeal. I like the plum and black cherry fruit, the velvety texture and substantial, satisfying finish. Chill lightly and good to go.

Not as big and full bodied as I expected, but nice red fruit, smooth and drinkable. Nice value at the price.

Burrowing Owl Viognier 2021, Okanagan Valley

An intense and classically aromatic Viognier showing lots of orchard blossom, honeysuckle, jasmine, white peach and apricot with some pineapple, baked pear and orange sherbet notes. The palate is full and rich, soft textured with crisp acidity, flavours of vanilla, mango, papaya, and ripe peach with some mandarin peel zestiness on the long finish.
