A white grape of Campania that delivers weighty, almost tropical whites. Citrus, peach, pineapple and honey with a silky texture. Very nice - double thumbs up.

Bachelder Les Villages Pinot Noir 2023, VQA Niagara Escarpment

Perfume is equal parts fruity, herbal, spicy, and floral - a medley of red berries, dark cherries, dried herbs, delicate spice, violet water, and multani mitti (fuller's earth). The palate is firm and silky, supported by refined tannins and tart acids. The finish lingers for a long while, delicately fruity, then savoury, with gentle warmth (though the alcohol by volume is only 12.5).

Grenache-led blend echoing the southern Rhone, but loaded with minty/eucalypt and mossy garrigue of the Barossa Valley. The nose brims with cranberry, raspberry fruit, pepper and spice. It is medium-full bodied, smooth, warm (14.5%) and low in tannin, with very focused flavours hitting excellent length.

Love this - spicy, big strawberry and pepper.

Fine aromatics here, with a nice mix of lemon-citrus, crème fraîche and fresh bread dough; wood is not a component. Acids are nicely balanced, driving saliva and succulence, and length is above the mean in the category. Good stuff, fairly priced.
Wow, this was excellent. Soft nose but beautiful silky lemon on the palate. Buy again!
