Pale, fragrant and delicate, dry but soft and approachable, round and smooth on the palate, this is well-made, gentle, widely appealing pink grenache from Bertrand, ready to enjoy now. Nothing but smooth contours and sweet fruit

Azevedo Loureiro Alvarinho 2024, Doc Vinho Verde
Vinho Verde, Portugal$13.95
Bright and engaging, this Vinho Verde is a classic blend of loureiro and alvarino--two of the regions most esteemed varieties. Features notes of lime blossom, grapefruit zest,Asian pear, and hints of white pepper. Delightfully reminiscent of a lighter style dry riesling with a long and delicate floral finish.
The Prisoner 2021
California, Usa$57.95
Combines Zinfandel with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Charbono
The Winery Of Good Hope Bush Vine Chenin Blanc 2023, Wo Stellenbosch, Sustainable
Stellenbosch, South Africa$15.95
The Winery of Good Hope is a less expensive brand by Radford Dale which makes exemplary Stellenbosch wines. The grapes for this excellent value are grown in the same vineyards by the same people, but costs are kept lower through production and bottling measures. Anyway, this offers a lot of character for the money. It is not as firm and structured as the Radford Dale Vinum Chenin Blanc that only costs $5 more, but it is generous, ripe and satisfying with just enough acidity. There is a touch of masking sulphur atop the almost tropical melon, guava/pear fruit. It is medium bodied, open knit, with a hint of sweetness, than firming acidity coming to the finish. Very good length.
