Easy to drink with good depth and smooth tannins. A little bit on the sweet side though. I would recommend chilling it a bit before drinking or keeping it in the cellar until you're ready to open it. Tasted December 2022.

Domaine Du Petit Métris Les Fougeraies Savennières 2009

It was a fascinating experience to try the Chenin-Blanc grape or the first time.I was expecting a very dry wine but it was so much richer (think honey and dry combined). Tasted May 2014.

Excellent Sauvignon-Blanc with great depth and complexity. Tasted December 2013.

Saltram Mamre Brook Shiraz 2010, Barossa

Unusual savoury Shiraz that took me off guard at first, but that I started to appreciate after 30 - 45 minutes of decanting. However, this was not worth $27 in my opinion. Can certainly age another year or two, as it still felt too young to truly appreciate. Also it felt too hot with probably a high degree of alcohol. Tasted May 2014.

Jean-paul Brun Terres Dorées Côte De Brouilly 2010

Nice earthy wine that opened up after decanting a bit. However, it was quite challenging to reconcile the demands of chilling Beaujolais to 13 degrees and decanting enough without losing this optimal temperature. Very happy with the result though... Tasted July 2013.

Tasted the 2005 vintage. Impressive Chardonnay at this price point. I highly recommend it. Tasted in July 2017.
