Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Umani Ronchi Cùmaro 2011, Conero
Marche, Italy$69.95
100% Montepulciano. Lovely, highly aromatic and complex nose with balanced cherry, clove, cinnamon, sweet spice and some rose floral aromas, all of which come through very nicely on the medium-full bodied palate. This has fine tannins, very good acidity and an excellent finish length. Tasted Oct/2016.
Le Calvane Quercione Chianti 2015, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$14.95
95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo. Medium-intensity nose with cherry, clove, and oak spice aromas and flavours. Medium-bodied and fleshy. Fresh acids and very good finish length. Tasted Oct/2018.
Eradus Sauvignon Blanc 2016, Awatere Valley, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$19.95
Tasted May/2017.
Rivarose Brut Prestige Rosé Sparkling, Igp Mediterranean, Salon De Provence, France
Provence, France$17.40
Crafted in the tank method, this blend of Syrah and Grenache has a generous, medium+ intensity nose with enticing aromas of grapefruit, strawberry, orange zest, citrus, raspberry, and leesy mineral with hints of floral. The medium+ bodied palate is essentially dry with delicious grapefruit, orange, citrus, and mineral replays with red berry fruited touches like strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. Fine, beady bubbles and fresh, juicy, thirst-quenching acidity carry through to the dry, minerally, floral, and lip-smacking finish, with very good length. Tasted July 2022.
Balbás Barrica 5 Tempranillo 2015, Do Ribera Del Duero
Ribera Del Duero, Spain$15.95
Tasted July/2019.
Mont Gravet Colombard 2017, Igp Côtes De Gascogne
Southwest, France$15.95
Fresh, clean and generous aromas of ripe peach, spring flower and pear, with some herbally hints. It is medium-bodied with clean, vibrant, and juicy acids supporting the ripe, slightly honeyed palate with citrus, peach, and herbal flavours. Good length on the finish with lemony notes. Tasted July/2018.
Cliffhanger Pinot Grigio 2017, Doc Trentino
Alto Adige-Trentino, Italy$15.95
Medium intensity aromas of ripe stone fruit, think yellow pear and peach, along with some citrus, floral and touches of honey. It is mid-weighted on the honeyed palate with sharp, juicy acids. Honeyed citrus, ripe pear and melon flavours with a kiss of sweetness on the flavour profile. A touch of mineral appears on the finish, with very good length. Simple and widely appealing. Tasted Feb/2019.
Montes Alpha Chardonnay 2016, Casablanca Valley
Casablanca Valley, Chile$19.95
The nose offers apple and pear with subtle wood and vanilla aromas, all of which come through on the light- to mid-weighted palate. It has good acidity, while the clean finish has very good length. Tasted Nov/2018.
