Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Momo Organic Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$19.95
Seems a bit shy at the moment, with a soft, medium intensity nose that has some reductive characters, laying underneath are some earthy, herbal, apple, grassy, kiwi, and tropical fruit aromas. The medium-bodied palate is nicely textured with good fruit and pleasing aromas replays on the flavour profile. Some savoury and mealy notes on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Jan/2020.
H J. Fabre Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$18.95
Medium-high intensity nose offers complex currant, cassis, herbs, and oak tones. The palate is full-bodied with firm, dusty tannins and very good acidity. Balanced dark fruit, herbal, currant, and cassis flavours. A touch woody with bitter oak notes on the long finish. A big wine to enjoy over the next 7-8 years. Tasted Aug/2019.
Delas Frères Saint Esprit Côtes Du Rhône Rosé 2018, Ac
Rhône, France$16.95
Medium-high intensity nose is fresh with grapefruit, red berry, strawberry, and cherry notes. The medium-bodied palate is dry and fresh with clean acids and nice aroma replays. Very good length on the spicy, clean finish. Tasted Aug/2019.
Château Du Ballandreau Cuvée Excellence 2015, Ac Bordeaux Supérieur
Bordeaux, France$15.95
Tasted Aug/2019.
Wakefield Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Clare Valley, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$19.95
Screw cap. Fresh, medium-high intensity aromatics lead with herbal, green pepper, and black cherry liqueur followed by cassis, wood spice, and touches of olive. It is full-bodied on the palate with herbal, dark cherry, cassis, and woodsy replays on the flavour profile. Acids are well-balanced, while tannins are slightly chalky and grainy, softening somewhat since tasting in Sept/2019. Earthy and wood spice notes linger on the finish, with good length. Tasted Aug/2020.
Chartron Et Trébuchet Mâcon Villages 2017, Ac
Burgundy, France$23.95
The medium intensity nose is flinty with pear, vanilla, and apple nuances, all of which appear on the medium-bodied palate. It's nicely balanced throughout with good acidity. Mineral notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Sept/2019.
