Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

This blend of 85% Alvarinho and 15% Trajadura has a fragrant nose of ripe peach, melon, honeysuckle, orange blossom aromas with a whiff of mineral. It's medium bodied and fleshy on the palate with balanced acidity and nice aroma replays. Floral and melon notes linger on the long finish. Tasted Nov/2019. Score: 88+ pts

Hacienda López De Haro Reserva 2014, Doca Rioja
Rioja, Spain$19.95
This blend of Tempranillo and Graciano delivers a ripe, medium+ intensity nose of berry and cherry, followed spice, tea leaf, and licorice notes which also come through on the full-bodied, dense and concentrated palate. It has juicy acidity and firm tannins. Very good length on the finish. Tasted Nov/2019.
Trapiche Medalla Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$17.00
Subtle nose of currant, cassis, and minerals with some earthy spice tones. It's full-bodied with structured tannins that are well-integrated and very approachable. It has very nice aroma replays on the flavour profile with more spice, currant, cassis, and dark berry flavours, lifted by bright acidity and crunchy fruit. Pleasing notes of dark berry, cherry with hints of floral linger on the finish. Tasted Nov/2019.
Camille Cayran Cave De Cairanne Le Chêne Noir 2017, Ap Côtes Du Rhône Villages
Rhône, France$17.00
An unoaked blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 20% Carignan that was aged for 10 months in concrete vats and delivers a medium-high intensity nose of smoky, spicy, and stony mineral aromas, along with dark berry and blackberry notes. It's medium+ bodied with nicely balanced flavours of dark berry, spice, and mineral supported by very good acidity and slightly structured, grippy tannins. The finish length is very good. Should be better in 2-3 years after tannin integration. Tasted Dec/2019.
Granite Hill Old Vine Zinfandel 2017, Lodi
California, Usa$19.95
The nose is rather shy, but the full-bodied, dry palate offers dark berry, spice, and plum flavours that linger through to the long finish. Acids are well-balanced, while tannins are ripe and polished, offering some chalky grip. Tasted Dec/2019.
