Heartland Shiraz 2012, Langhorne Creek
South Australia, Australia$18.95
didn't enjoy so much, typical Aussie high heat and abrupt, needs grilled steak or lamb.....give 2cd bottle another 2+ years to round out, maybe more enjoyable then (Jan 2016)
Remember having second bottle and enjoying it more, probably did have it in 2018 so further time agreed with it. Still, not inclined to repurchase. (90-)
Franco Molino Barolo 2006, Docg
Piedmont, Italy$29.95
Feb 2019....definitely past its peak, should of had 2-3 years earlier....despite this it was still drinkable (barely) but just not as enjoyable as it should have been, its youthfulness was gone.
Tenuta Di Ghizzano Veneroso 2007, Igt Toscana
Tuscany, Italy$29.95
now, now now!!!!
October 2018, had with Osso Bucco.....still enjoyed but just a little past its peak, mature to be sure but my guess is this was a more vibrant wine in its youth.
Casas Del Bosque Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Maipo Valley
Maipo Valley, Chile$21.25
???......purchased Mar 2017....maybe 2018-20 range?
note...let breathe for one hour
June 2021...pretty sure is gone
Frei Brothers Reserve Zinfandel 2012, Dry Creek Valley
California, Usa$26.95
2017 + 2018
1st one consumed sometime in 2017.....really really nice, wished I had bought more.
August 2020....think I had second bottle recently (this year). Was still good and still loved it. Would definitely buy again if a decent vintage.
Orestiadi Ludovico 2008, Igt Rosso Sicilia
Sicily, Italy$19.95
2019
....my recollection is I quite enjoyed it. A pleasant departure from other Italian wines. Dont recall if I drank both, I suspect one was gifted.
Il Molino Di Grace Riserva Chianti Classico 2014, Docg

Tenuta Rocca Barolo 2010, Docg
Piedmont, Italy$36.95
2019
May 2020.....had with leftover eggplant pasta, nice, wow the tannins were very drying but it was quite delicious in the spectrum of Barolo. Wouldn't drink it all the time but still a fan of a good Barolo.(91)
