Soléna Grand Cuvée Pinot Noir 2014, Willamette Valley
Oregon, Usa$33.95

Dec 21....pretty sure I had this sometime in the past 2 years. Pretty sure I really liked it. Empty bottle may have been a 'Keeper', originally on piano, but I may have changed my mind.

2019?.....must have gifted one? some recollection of doing so.
January 2021.....obviously a quality wine but my bottle was past its prime in my opinion. Colour a very garnet red. Bottle remained upside down in cellar the entire time and sediment blocked flow initially. Not sure if storage caused any negative impact. That said, it got better with aeration but still lacked a zest I'm sure it held in its earlier life. Regret not having had sooner, feel like this was a winner of a wine.

Jan 2021.....really really nice; vibrant, complex, juicy. Not an ounce of bitterness or bite, just smooth and a touch tart.A light to mid-weight wine that went very well with salmon melts. Glad I bought 3. Wish I had bought more than one from 2017. (91+)
Jan 2022....having with cabbage rolls, such an elegant wine....could drink this anytime, anywhere! Wish I could have tried 2016. Keep an eye on future vintages (2018+)
Grand Vin De Glenelly Red 2010, Wo Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch, South Africa$14.75

August 2021......had with steak and quite enjoyed it. Mature, complex, full bodied, flavourful. Good value. Glad I bought.
Heartland Shiraz 2012, Langhorne Creek
South Australia, Australia$18.95
didn't enjoy so much, typical Aussie high heat and abrupt, needs grilled steak or lamb.....give 2cd bottle another 2+ years to round out, maybe more enjoyable then (Jan 2016)
Remember having second bottle and enjoying it more, probably did have it in 2018 so further time agreed with it. Still, not inclined to repurchase. (90-)
