This lovely Sangiovese from Tuscany has finally arrived in style. I really like it. It is the nicest Sangiovese i have tasted in recent years. Soft, refined, polished and has a long finish. Great with sizzling steak.
I am going to buy a case, cellar it and enjoy it. Highly recommended.
very balanced and beautiful on the nose.
Great value for this region. Enjoyed with cold cuts, olives and cheese.

Great, fairly complex, old world nose: Cherry, anise, herbs, vanilla, wood. Not quite full-bodied but quite concentrated in flavour: Sour cherry, cranberry, licorice, herbs. Dry and woody but plenty of fruit to match. Plenty of fine, ripe tannin. Outstanding overall balance. This is very much in-line with my style of wine: Old world but fruity. Slightly rustic but not austere. I may grab a case.

The nose on this wine was a little funky at first, which cleared away after 10 minutes or so. On the nose, strongly varietal Sangiovese aromas of black plum, cherry, stewed rhubarb, cedar, leather, dusty and spicy notes. On the mouthfeel, medium-full body (with alcohol at 13.5%), fresh acidity, muscular tannins and excellent dept of flavours. This blend's finish is medium length with soft fruit and fine dusty tannins. Should be served slightly chilled around 16-17°C. A very nice wine here, where each glass improved as the evening provgressed, great structure on the palate and lovely finish. Strongly recommended

A nice Italian red blend. Went well with chicken parmigiana.
