Thanksgiving 2018....brought to Dave & Rona`s to have with dinner....was quite disappointed given the 90-91 ratings (maybe look at who gave them), seemed soft and unexciting, not the flavour I was looking for....love a good Ripasso but wouldn't buy this again.

August 2018....having last one now, is better now than early on, aging has improved. Nice wine.
Previous history was 4 purchased....one as a gift (Gerrits?), one had early (2015?) and not so enamored, one enjoyed with Crystal (she really liked) (2017), and now this one on my own.

April, 2020.....really good, full bodied and delicous. Had with eggplant pasta. Could of kept drinking it but had to display some discipline. Should have bought more than two....well worth the $29. Save last one to share with someone. G&A would be good candidates.

September 2021....with salmon melts. Perhaps a bit austere for this entree. Salmon better suited for for a softer and fruitier PN. This has strong flavour and a stony tartness, with a touch of bitterness. Perhaps better with a red meat of some kind (pork, shepherds pie, hamburger etc...). Will be interesting to taste in another year from now.
July 2022..beautiful! Smooth, delicate, delicious. Had with roast salmon. Perfect right now....drink last one in next 6 months.

May, 2021.......a really nice wine with more years left. Strongly flavoured, smooth, structured. Neat to drink knowing it was foot-trodden. An experience worth the price.
