J.L. Chave Crozes Hermitage Rouge Silène 2014
Rhône, France$31.00
2020 to be safe (which is same as 2013) so maybe can go to 2021 at latest .
February 2021....had with chicken chilli, worked just fine. Lovely wine, lots of flavour and depth, structure....class act. I never seem to be disappointed by JL Chave, all their wines are highly drinkable. Makes me a fan of French wine when many do not.

didn't document but recollection was not as good as was expecting given the enjoyment less expensive versions had provided....maybe waited too long to have?
Dog Point Pinot Noir 2012
Marlborough, New Zealand$49.95

summer 2019??....had the first one but don't recall too much about it....think had with cedar plank salmon on a Sunday dinner with the kids, remembering that it was a quality wine, nice but not knocking my socks off.

one per year start 2021 + gift 1-2 bottles (Erin & Smitty would enjoy)
Nov/21.....when first tasted, no mistaking it for anything other than a french wine, had that certain flavour I cant always describe. After airing a while and certainly after a few days it became a very enjoyable quaff, though I doubt I would have purchased this many, 2 would have sufficed. Try next one late 2022.
Xmas 2021....gift to Erin

>pretty sure this was a gift to Tina, either birthday or Xmas 2011.
September 2, 2022......in celebration of Andrew's 34th birthday. Shared with Crystal, had with t-bone steaks. Absolutely delicious! Required aeration and was responding well after 30 minutes. A refined, classy glass of wine. Delicate for Cab Sauv. Had held it for 11 years, without harm. A slight garnet tone. Worth the wait!
Poliziano Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano 2012, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$31.95

Made entirely with Sangiovese, this offers aromas of spicy plum, violet, blackberry, toast and a whiff of oak-driven spice. The firmly structured palate delivers black cherry, clove, anise and a note of grilled sage alongside assertive tannins that leave an astringent finish. Give it time to unwind. Drink 2017–2025.

Nov 2021.....strong bold wine, had with bbq steak which is what it needed, enjoyed but had that French flavour that I sometimes not a big fan of. All told, glad I opened it, enjoyed it, but didn't really need to drink again but I will next summer.
June 2023...same as above, till drinkable, finish last one this year (missing one??). Red meat a must!
