The extra age coupled with the quality fruit vintage puts this red Sancerre in a most excellent place four to five...
Drinking quite beautifully at this stage, this typifies the delicate pinot noir expression possible in the limestones...
A warm vintage and a bit of age have created a red Sancerre, (pinot noir) with a bit more character than I have come...

From the great 2015 vintage, this Pinot Noir has a pretty, pale ruby colour and the medium-high intensity nose leads with stony-smoky minerality, followed by red berry, cherry, and currant aromas, with subtle florals. It is light-to-medium bodied on the spicy, red fruited, cherry, and currant palate with elegantly structured tannins. Acids are nice and fresh, while the stony-smoky mineral notes come to the fore on the long, juicy finish. Enjoy over the next 4-5 years. Tasted July/2020.

Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley, Sancerre to be exact.
A wine with some bottle age and it surprised me with its ripe fresh red fruit of cherry raspberry and cranberry. Also had a hint of orange zest.
The acid was low with a tiny bit of chalk tannins. Lovely pinot that can rival Burgundy and for a great price. Tasted October 2022
Quite deep colour. Nose is a bit closed; hints of small berries, red candy and spice. Med bodied, firm with tart fruit and noticeable acidity. Lingering anise-inflected finish. Very much a Loire expression of PN and a bit austere. May develop more charm in a year or two. Fair value.
