1st one ....nice
2018 latest
August 2021.....must have had the second one many years ago. Both Chris and I quite enjoyed this wine. Clear glass bottle and interesting label as well.
Grant Burge Corryton Park Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Barossa
South Australia, Australia$32.95
2018-22
Feb/18....1st of 2....rich & flavourful but a touch hot on the finish. Appears fully evolved, decent amount of sediment. Had with a homemade hamburger, nice but this wine needs a steak. Try last one 2019/20.
June 2020.....appears to have completely mellowed out, quite enjoyed, didn't sense the 'burn' from 2 years previous.
Jonata El Corazón De Jonata 2005, Santa Ynez Valley
California, Usa$59.95
Nov 25, 2017.....with Chris, Andrew & Crystal...celebrating my retirement announcement, lasagna dinner......really lovely wine, so rich and flavourful, beautiful dark colour, worth every penny, if only for special occasions.
Rustenberg John X Merriman 2016, Wo Simonsberg Stellenbosch

summer 2023....Crystal drank, and she did not like it. I'm sure it was that familiar SA aroma that isn't for everyone.
Feb 2024....had with Nora, with turkey chilli that we brought home from Sun Peaks made by Dawn). We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Tastes better with a little aeration, even 15 minutes but one hour better.
