Feb 2019....had with eggplant pasta largely because it needed to be consumed....wasn't at first liking it much....strong flavours and alcohol.....but became much more enjoyable after 30 minutes of aeration.....rich, full bodied, complex....happy to have sampled it (don't remember having first bottle..maybe gifted it??).

Sept 27, 2018...pre-dinner (Gerrtis, Steimlillers, Saconnes)....2 hour decant, really lovely, lots of fruit, smooth & delicious.

Dec 21.....for sure none left. I think I may have drank 2 myself and given one away (to a wine lover I hope). My recollection...was always a good wine but better younger, had more vitality.

July 2021.....had with Osso Bucco....lovely delicate medium bodied wine that would likely go with any meat or dish. No edges whatsoever. For the money, this was very special. Not too many wines from Sicily that I haven't really enjoyed. (92)
