This may be one of the great petit verdots on the planet, although PV is a small world. Usually this variety is...

This is a lovely wine from South Australia.
Medium-bodied, with tastes of cherry, tobacco, and spice. Smoky, dry and has a long finish. Goes well with steak and BBQ. This is an outstanding wine. I recommend it. Good price/performance ratio.
very nice
The 2007 Pirramimma Petit Verdot is medium to full bodied, FRUITY to integrated wine with nice aromas of raspberry/blackberry, cacao, leather, oak and dominating vanilla on the nose and coconut, blackberry and more vanilla on the palate. Tannins are refined (decant for 15 min) and the finish is long and silky. It is good to drink now or try cellaring for 5 to 10 years standing up (screw cap). My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91-92 pts - recommended buy. Tasted Oct/11.

I have a longstanding love of Pirramimma wines and ths PV is no exception. Nice deep black fruit and herb aromas with hints of incense/wood. On the palate the fruit is immediately present followed by a long and integrated evolution of flavours from toasted oak to chocolate to fresh herbs. (yes mint). Great balance and persistance I'm going to try really hard to keep a few bottles in the cellar for a few years but the temptation to drink them all now may be too much!!
Very lovely wine with a nice silky smooth finish. I will definitely be buying a few more bottles.
Big, smoky, woodsy- blueberry pie, vanilla, barnyard nose. full bodied with silky tannins. Desert like, but stays fresh on the finish.
