Collin Bourisset Douce Folie Saint Amour 2011
Beaujolais, France$16.75
Nicely made wine, however I was expecting a little more from this Saint Amour - one of my favorite Crus.
Tabalí Reserva Especial 2011, Limari Valley
Limari Valley, Chile$18.25
Big, strong and grippy. Dark fruits and cassis mostly with well integrated vanilla oak. Missing some elegance, but then most blends from Chile are about power.
Gérard Bertrand Côte Des Roses Rosé 2013, Ap Languedoc
Languedoc, France$18.95
Loved it! It's fresh and citrusy.
Bordon Gran Reserva 2005
Rioja, Spain$24.90
Smooth as satin with wet wood, tobacco and sweet cherry/vanilla herb infused flavours. It demonstrates its maturity nicely.
Más Que Vinos Ercavio Tempranillo Roble 2011, Tierra De Castilla
Spain$16.95
This is a really seductive wine. Smells of red roses, sugar plums, blueberries and a hint of smoke. Refined tannins make this medium bodied wine silky and smooth. Reminds me a little of Cotes du Rhone. I definitely recommend this!
Palazzo Maffei Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore 2012, Doc
Veneto, Italy$18.95
This is a fairly complex Ripasso, but a tad too alcoholic for my liking.
Hãhã Pinot Noir 2011, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$21.95
Plummy raisiny, cooked or stewed fruit flavours. Hot and short with a bit of a burn. Not much to get excited about.
Oak Bay Gamay Noir 2012, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$17.95
I can see why WA folks like this Gamay...It's true to its roots, very much reminds me a Cru Beaujolais. The nose is a classic mix of roses, violets, beets, earthy mud and potpourri. The palate is smooth with an iodine thickness. Sweet and sour Swedish berry candies dominate. Remember to decant for an hour to release its full potential.
Maison Roche De Bellene Côtes Du Nuits Villages 2011, Ac
Burgundy, France$24.95
Very nice (light) Pinot. I was expecting a tad more out of this...very pretty as with all the wines from Nicolas Petel, but just too thin and simple for $25.
