Accornero Bricco Del Bosco Grignolino Del Monferrato Casalese 2013, Doc
Piedmont, Italy$19.95
This wine pours so crazy light it's incredible. I really thought, hey maybe they watered it down. This actually reminds me of Pinot Meunier. Don't know what I'm talking about, check out Vineland Estates and you'll see what i mean. It's soft light and structured with loads of strawberry jam and cranberry sauce. There's hints of rose petal and beets, but you have to look for it. It you like savoury light wines, you will really like this little number.
Tenuta Stefano Farina Le Brume Langhe 2009, Doc
Piedmont, Italy$16.95
lots of old world charm providing earthy herbal notes to the cherry/ pomegranate fruit flavours. It's really grippy with extrmely high acid. As a result it's a tad of balance. Still a very authentic well made wine.
Pondview Bella Terra Chardonnay 2011, Barrel Fermented, VQA Four Mile Creek
Ontario, Canada$20.25
Very natural and soft with a real creamy feel on the palate. Amazing QPR!
Señorío De Los Baldíos 2009, Do Ribera Del Duero
Ribera Del Duero, Spain$15.75
AHHH the "Oak Monster" (Gary Vee) makes an appearance, but he is masked with some really nice plush fruit, quality tannins and great structure. This Ribera del Duero is a Napafied version of Rioja. Offers sweet oak, vanilla, blueberry pie, touch of spice. I like it... but it's a modern style, traditionalist might be disappointed.
Tessellae Carignan Vieilles Vignes 2011, Igp Côtes Catalanes
Southwest, France$17.95
A solid wine with powerful tannin and amble grip. Flavours need more time to develop. Currently rustic in nature.
Maetierra Dominum Qp 2006
Rioja, Spain$19.95
Dried rose petals, dried fig, ripe cherries, spice, vanilla, wet wood, barrel must. The palate is perfect weight...finishes with super fine saw dust tannins. Everyone will appreciate this fine wine.
Kew Vineyard Estate Marsanne Viognier 2012, Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$18.95
full bodied and creamy. I think this is the best white Kew produces. Great QPR!
Longview Yakka Shiraz 2010, Adelaide Hills
South Australia, Australia$22.95
Lush and flavourful with a generous dose of oak.
Stephane Aviron Vieilles Vignes Morgon Côte Du Py 2012, Ac
Beaujolais, France$23.95
Big ups to this Morgon! The nose is exotic and seductive - very perfumed, showing rose petal, lavender, raspberry, cranberry, spruce tree and soya sauce. The palate is incredibly suave, balanced and structured. It finishes dry with just a hint of sweet and sour. My Lord, what a wine for $20.
Joseph Drouhin Côte De Beaune Villages 2010
Burgundy, France$19.00
2011 Vintage - Light bodied, clean and crisp. Well made, but lacks personality...easy drinking and precise.
