Like no other sancerre that I have tasted thus far, this is heavily concentrated and complex, with notes of tropical fruit, dried lemon peel and herbal character. The mouth is full and viscous with a vibrant acidity ripping through. I find this to be more reminiscent of a high qualtiy northern Italian (perhaps spanish) sauvignon blanc blended with a white bordeaux with a few years of age on it. Really interesting juice

Lan Edicion Limitada 2012

Hugely intense fruit-forward Rioja (verging on fruit bomb). Well structured, good acid and secondary aromas (tobacco leaf, leather) are present, albeit hiding behind the lush plum, date and berry compote. This is good stuff, and has a deliciousness factor that many will love. However I find the concentration of fruit to be sightly exaggerated to the point that even with age, the nuances that I enjoy in a great rioja will be overshadowed by its sheer lushness.

Very solid terroir driven production, juicy and easy while maintaining good body. Red fruit and light spice, this is a very nice wine, and a style that we are gladly (at the least i am) seeing more and more of.

Stags' Leap Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Very well made napa cab, excellent structure and length, cassis, dark fruit and peppery without over-the-top jam or oak. Very young, and very good..has "aiuthentic" cabernet character. This will be phenomenal once the savory flavors kick in with a couple of years on its side
