C'est boire magnifiquement. Caractère typique de viande, fruité / fruits noirs / herbes accompagnée d'une belle fraîcheur vive. Il a du poids, mais son dynamisme le rend presque parfait

La Spinetta Nebbiolo 2013

Not your typical nebbiolo. Packed with a wide array of fresh fruit aromas, flowers and cured meat with an almost juicy acidity. Something to seek out if you're into trying new things, and would be cool at a blind tasting. This house's entry level wines in piedmont and tuscany (il gentile di casanova or nero di casanova) are must-haves in my book.

Dominus Napanook 2013, Napa Valley

This is quite closed at the moment, but is elegant, with fine tannin, pure fruit (still jammy, but not artificial) and a long finish. Better balanced and 'real' than most other napa's, even at this price point (120 at the SAQ!)...high quality ageworthy wine, will be very interesting when the secondary aromas begin to show

Ségla 2009, Margaux

Great complex bordeaux that takes your palate on a ride. Is ripe but elegant, and delivers a host of secondary aromas to accompany its balanced fruit. Difficult to call this a value, but considering the pedigree and the extent to which this wine has a sense of place and harmony, its also difficult to say otherwise. Wish we had the 750ml format of the 2010 in Quebec!

Domaine De Bellivière Les Rosiers Jasnière 2015, Jasnières

Another great chenin from the loire. Lactic and waxy, honeyed and mineral, white fruit with creamy citrus notes. Top notch, the imports from this region continue to impress.

Domaine Gourt De Mautens 2012

Big southern Rhone wine with all the power one would expect, has complexity but lacks any distinctive character that would have me purchase it. This is quite closed and will surely improve, but did not blow me away (it may have at half the price).

Estate Argyros Assyrtiko 2015

Solid assyrtiko, loads of mineral and saline character followed by light flavors of melon, peach and honey.

Chateau De Sancere Cuvee Du Connetable 2012, Sancerre

Comme aucun autre sancerre que j'ai déjà goûté, il est fortement concentré et complexe, avec des notes de fruits tropicaux, de peau de citron et de fines herbes. La bouche est pleine et visqueuse avec une acidité vibrante qui déchire. Je trouve que cela rappelle plus un sérum sauvignon blanc de qualité supérieure (peut-être espagnol), mélangé avec un bordeaux blanc avec quelques années d'âge. Un jus vraiment intéressant
