Very solid terroir driven production, juicy and easy while maintaining good body. Red fruit and light spice, this is a very nice wine, and a style that we are gladly (at the least i am) seeing more and more of.

Chateau De Sancere Cuvee Du Connetable 2012, Sancerre

Like no other sancerre that I have tasted thus far, this is heavily concentrated and complex, with notes of tropical fruit, dried lemon peel and herbal character. The mouth is full and viscous with a vibrant acidity ripping through. I find this to be more reminiscent of a high qualtiy northern Italian (perhaps spanish) sauvignon blanc blended with a white bordeaux with a few years of age on it. Really interesting juice

I think Mr. Chapleau hit the nail on the head. Purity of fruit combined With That ever so charming earthiness and acidity characteristic of classic red burgundy. Balance, good structure, great value.

Hugely intense fruit-forward Rioja (verging on fruit bomb). Well structured, good acid and secondary aromas (tobacco leaf, leather) are present, albeit hiding behind the lush plum, date and berry compote. This is good stuff, and has a deliciousness factor that many will love. However I find the concentration of fruit to be sightly exaggerated to the point that even with age, the nuances that I enjoy in a great rioja will be overshadowed by its sheer lushness.

Outstanding SB from northern Italy. Complex fruit ranging from citrus to melon and tropical fruit. Long finish, some oak and lots of weight to hold off the acidity. Not the crisp/clean high acid SB, but really interesting stuff.

Huge wine. Has the weight and aromatics of a desert wine with only 6g of residual sugar. Dried pinapple, citrus and orchard fruit and some /mineral chemical components, not really petrol like in alsace. This wine is a steal.
