Mukuzani Micro-Zone (Controlled Place of Origin), located in the heart of Kakheti, on the right bank of River Alazani in Gurjaani district. Elevation 400-700m. Moderately humid hot summers and cold winters. Carbonate soils.

Handcrafted from the grapes grown in small vineyards in north Dalmatia mountains. The grapes are handpicked and delicately processed as quickly as possible in nearby winery at controlled temperature. Aging in stainless steel tanks and then in the bottles at 14°C.

Crafted by blending wines from Trincadeira (famous for Port production), Aragonez (known elsewhere as Tempranillo, Cencibel, Tinta del Pais, Roriz…) and Alicante Bouschet grapes separately vinified in small tanks. Aged in French and American barrels during 12 m.
Dark fruit aromas interwoven with vanilla hints from oak aging, smooth on the mouth, fine tannin structure- can be enjoyed now or cellared for ~5 y.
Decant and serve at 16 ºC with red meats, barbeque fare hard cheeses and roasted nuts.

Peacock is the symbol of the winery. According to a legend, French writer Alexandre Dumas, compared the opening of the peacock’s tail to the taste sensations of Georgian wine: “It opens up slowly and gently, you feel dazzling and pleasurable sensation and you want the feeling to last.”
Vaziani was founded in 1982. Vaziani owns 120 hectares of vineyards in Kakheti, in the center of Telavi.
