Strawberry, candy floss, floral notes, and white peach on the nose. It has crisp acidity with lots of fruit. Very juicy - perfect for the summer.

Chateau Des Charmes Chardonnay Sur Lie 2007, VQA Niagara Peninsula

Lemon, orange peel, and apple on the nose. Crisp acidity on the palate with plenty of fruit and subtle oak flavours. Good finish, but alcohol stands out a bit.

Butter, green apples, minerals, and lime on the nose. It is medium-bodied with a crisp acidity and plenty of fruit. Pleasant enough, but not well integrated.

Segura Viudas Brut Reserva Cava

Screaming green apple on the nose with some butteriness. Crisp acidity with lots of fruit make this a great quaffer.

Plums, pepper, and smokiness on the nose. It has lots of ripe dark fruit and soft tannins.

Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut Cava

Green apple, butter, lime, and minerals on the nose. It has plenty of fruit and a crisp acidity. A bubbly to open for any occassion.

Santa Carolina Merlot Reserva 2011, Colchagua Valley

Raspberry, plums, mint, earthiness, and herbs on the nose. Lots and lots of fruit with soft tannins. The wine is medium-bodied and excellent value.

Wolftrap White 2011, Wo Western Cape

Apricots, spices and floral notes on the nose. The wine has plenty of fruit and a crisp acidity. It is medium-bodied with a lingering aftertaste. Pretty good value, but nothing outstanding.
