Grassy with yellow apple and gooseberry. Very fruity with crisp acidity. Best served chilled.

Mission Hill Reserve Chardonnay 2013, Okanagan Valley

Pineapple, lemon, toast, and butter on the nose. Lots of ripe fruit, crisp acidity, and decent amount of oak. Very good value.

Lemony, mineraly, and floral on the nose. It has crisp acidity and some fizz with a lingering lemony aftertaste. Good summer wine, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Araucano Syrah 2009, Lolol Valley

Leather, spice, sweet cherry, and chocolate on the nose. The wine has lots of fruit and is well-balanced as well as being medium-to-full bodied. Fantastic value.

Farnese Negroamaro 2010

Cherries, blackberry, and spices on the nose. Fruity with slightly green tannins. It is still pretty good, but the two previous vintages were superior.

Umani Ronchi San Lorenzo Rosso Conero 2008, Doc

Blackberries, tobacco, lead pencil shavings, and herbs on the nose. Subtle fruit and soft tannins on a very well balanced palate. Fantastic value.

Deen De Bortoli Vat 10 Pinot Noir 2009, Southeastern Australia

Strawberry, nuts, rotting leaves, and earthiness on the nose. It has lots of fruit with softening tannins. At the price it is an exceptional Pinot Noir.

Zenato Lugana Di San Benedetto 2010, Doc

Pineapple, pear, honey, wax, and lemon aromas. Dry on the palate and well-balanced.
