Wakefield Shiraz 2006, Clare Valley, South Australia
Australia$18.95
Pretty good wine for under $20 dollars.
Mitolo Jester Shiraz 2007, Mclaren Vale
Australia$22.95
This is now an Essentials so it should almost always be available. Hence the (V) for the vintage instead of a year. The 2004 was excellent. 2005 was not as good as the 2004, but still good.
I bought a bottle of the 2006 to compare. (Un)fortunately, I drank the entire bottle at one sitting, so it must be excellent!!
Coopers Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Marlborough, South Island

Stark Condé Syrah 2005, Wo Stellenbosch, Unfined And Unfiltered
South Africa$19.95
Enjoyed this last night with a strip-loin.
Tyrrell's Rufus Stone Shiraz 2006, Heathcote, Victoria
Australia$22.95
This is an awesome Shiraz for the money. It's rich and lush with an excellent finish. This wine is better than any Shiraz I've had < $40. Buy it now, it sold out quickly at my local LCBO.
Villa Maria Private Bin Pinot Noir 2007, Marlborough
New Zealand$19.95
This is an excellent Pinot for the money. Although it's a Kiwi Pinot, it reminds me of more expensive, California-style Pinots. Classic cherry nose with a rich (for a pinot) body. This would still be a great deal at $25. I will be buying a case to cellar.
Borthwick Vineyard Pinot Noir 2008, Wairarapa, North Island
New Zealand$35.95
Joe, the LCBO product consultant at the Kingsway gave me a head's up on this ISD (In Store Discovery) as our critic's don't get to taste it ahead of time. David Lawrason gave it's less expensive sibling 90 points. I thought this was an excellent/classic NZ Pinot. Not Cali style.
