Henry Of Pelham Baco Noir 2017
Canada$15.95
I cannot think of a more quaffable and enjoyable Canadian wine for $16. Do yourself a favour and try this wine. It's like a Canadian Zinfandel. Sure, it's just touch sweet but it's crowd pleasing, eminently drinkable and goes with anything.
7 Deadly Zins 2006, Lodi, Old Vine, Michael And David Phillips
California, Usa$21.95
I like the richer flavoured wines and I think this an Excellent ZIn.
I am rating this while enjoying my 3rd glass. So it might be merely Very Good.
De Bortoli Windy Peak Pinot Noir 2008, Victoria
Australia$13.25
If you're like me, and enjoy the lighter taste of a Pinot with the richness of a fruiter wine then this is a nice combo. While not the purist's favourite it is a wonderful wine to enjoy with food or quaff.
Flat Rock Good Kharma Chardonnay 2013, Niagara Peninsula VQA
Ontario, Canada$16.95
I think this wine has matured a bit since my colleagues tried it. Nose is quite nice with a bit of oak. The palate doesn't go for ever but in many ways a great chardonnay at the price!
Laougue Le Clos Camy 2005, Ac Madiran
Southwest, France$14.35
Testing Outstanding. Took it down a notch or two to merely Very Good.
