Rutherford Ranch Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Napa Valley
California, Usa$49.95
Nice Cab' that opened up after an hour of decanting, but definitively not worth $50. I was expecting more complexity. Tasted January 2016.
Masi Brolo Di Campofiorin 2006, Igt Rosso Del Veronese
Veneto, Italy$26.95
i have been keeping this wine for a couple of years and was looking forward to the day I would open it. However, this wine did not live up to my optimistic expectations. My biggest disappointment was how light this wine turned out to be (let's say light to medium body range to be fair) and the associated acidity. Also, I found the flavors to be almost completely taken over by the oak. Tasted December 2011.
Stone Dwellers Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Strathbogie Ranges, Southwest
Australia$20.00
Nice full-bodied Cab' from Australia that is sweet and green at the same time. Only con is the level of heat that is a bit distracting to fully enjoy. Tasted November 2013.
Vina Robles White 4 2010, Huerhuero Vineyard, Paso Robles
California, Usa$14.75
Was worth a try, but 4 grapes in equal proportions made it somewhat bland. Tasted May 2013.
Lornano Chianti Classico 2013, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$18.95
Decent Chianti Classico but I was expecting more after 6 years of aging. Tasted October 2019.
Oyster Bay Pinot Noir 2015, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$20.95
David Lawrason's review is right on the mark. Tasted August 2017.
Pierre Sparr Gewurztraminer 2020, Alsace
Alsace, France$19.95
Very rich taste but a bit too much alcohol burn to truly enjoy.
Lenswood Hills Pinot Noir 2010, Adelaide Hills
Australia$12.95
Wow, this is a great Pinot Noir. Very smooth and easy to drink. A solid value at this price point. Tasted February 2013.
Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2011, Marlborough
New Zealand$16.95
Elegant, dry, medium bodied and very refreshing for a hot day outdoor dinner! Tasted May 2012.
