Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Jackson Triggs Entourage Grand Reserve Brut Sparkling 2015, Traditional Method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$29.95
Re-tasted Oct/2019 - Score: 89 pts
A sparkling wine that is tart and sour with pink grapefruit notes, followed by some brioche, leesy and green stemmy aromas and flavours. It comes off as mostly dry on the palate with frothy mousse and a toasty brioche edge. Nicely balanced with a medium-long finish. Tasted Sept/2017. Score: 88 pts
The Hedonist Shiraz 2015, Mclaren Vale, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$21.95
Tasted Sept/2019.
Lakeview Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine 2017, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario (200ml)
Ontario, Canada$39.95
Pours a medium garnet colour. The lovely, highly aromatic nose is open, fresh, and fragrant with ripe raspberry, strawberry jam, cran-cherry, and plum aromas, plus subtle spice notes. It's medium to medium-full bodied on the sweet palate with lovely strawberry jam, raspberry, cran-cherry, and subtle spice flavour replays. Harmonious and well-balanced throughout with a subtle chalky mouthfeel adding a nice textural element. Fresh, lively, and juicy acidity holds it all together, while the red berry flavours give way to faintly mineral notes on the long, juicy finish. Delicious! Tasted Dec. 2022.
Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz 2017, Epiphany Vineyard, Mclaren Vale, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$17.95
A meaty, minty, white pepper spiced Shiraz with a medium intensity nose. The medium-bodied palate has supple tannins with more peppery spice and meaty undertones in a savoury profile on the palate. Acids are fresh acids, while the juicy finish has very good length. Tasted Feb/2020.
Southbrook Laundry Vineyard Gamay 2017, Vinemount Ridge
Ontario, Canada$24.95
Screw cap. Fresh, highly aromatic and pretty nose offers red berry, spice, black plum and whiffs of earthy and savoury notes. It is light-to-medium bodied on the palate with red berry, currant, herbs, tea leaf, and earthy flavours with dusty tannins adding a nice textural element and some structure. Acids are fresh. Appealing tea leaf notes linger on the long, juicy finish. A lovely expression of Niagara Gamay to enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Tasted Dec/2018.
Cantina San Paolo Aglianico 2017, Igp Campania Rosso
Campania, Italy$14.95
The medium+ intensity nose delivers black spice, herbs, smoke, dark berry, currant, and dark plum aromas. It's medium+ bodied on the palate with nice smoky replays and juicy acids. Fine tannins are smooth and nicely textured. Finish length is very good. Tasted Jan/2020.
Fincas Las Moras Paz Malbec 2016, San Juan, Cuyo
San Juan, Argentina$17.95
2015 vintage - Medium+ intensity nose is perfumed with purple flower, blackberry, and dark berry aromas. It is medium-full bodied with good fruit concentration and ripe tannins that are grippy. Complex floral, earthy and berry notes on the palate that linger through to the long finish. Tasted Sept/2017.
