Emiliana Novas Petit Verdot 2011, Colchagua Valley
Chile$15.95
Petit Verdot is not often done in such a restrained and approachable style.
A clean, balanced wine with floral notes, rich fruit and nice tannis, with above average length with nicely integrated oak.
I wouldn't think this would benefit much from cellaring, but will likely hold over a few years.
Excellent value.
Tasted September 2013.
Trapiche Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2010, Mendoza
Argentina$11.95
A full-bodied wine lot of dark fruit and earth notes, with big tannic structure and a hint of oak and smoke. Slightly sweetness with medium finish.

Concha Y Toro Terrunyo Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Pirque Vineyard

Above average complexity, with mouth watering tannins, strong backbone, a smooth, creamy finish and outstanding length.

Marc Brédif Vouvray 2011, Ac
Loire, France$19.95
Clean, smooth and tasty. Not a lot of complexity, but a well made wine that is an excellent sipper or pair with food.

Le Secret Des Capitelles Saint Chinian 2007, Ac
Languedoc, France$14.95
Wonderfully balanced. Great value.
Château Lyonnat Emotion 2006, Ac Lussac Saint émilion
Bordeaux, France$19.95
A value-buy Merlot-based Bodeaux. Medium body that is oaky, tannic and dustry, with notes of dried flowers and moderate dark fruit on the palate with a medium to long finish. It is deserving of an hour in the decanter or better yet, a little more time in the bottle to soften it still.
Tasted October 2013.
Zenato Rosso 2009, Igt Veneto
Veneto, Italy$13.15
An affordable, enjoyable wine that is true to the region. Zenato doesn't mail this one in, showing the fine wine-making expertise that they bring to their more expensive products.
A solid, well focused wine in a price category where we expect more disjointed wines.
A good everyday value.
Tasted May 2014.
