A lovely, medium-bodied, modern but well made and highly appealing Bordeaux at a very fair price. Not a long life...

Classic old world nose. Cool black cherry fruit mingle with woodsy spicy-earthy tones. Very perfumed and inviting nose. Iodine like body, a little bitter orange peel mixed with earthy tobacco notes on the palate....there's also "wet dog" in it...you know what i mean...that's a term I used several decades ago and it definitely applies to this wine. Clean finish.

Ruby garnet in the glass. A refined, soft, merlot dominant Bordeaux. A hint of brett on the nose, but not a detraction. Earth, game, leather is the aromatic theme with dark chocolate, licorice, plum and cassis emerging on the palate. Medium bodied, good acidity and still rather sticky tannins co-habitate in a balanced ecosystem. Some alcohol heat breaks up the group hug. Very good length. Excellent value.
