Very nice with BBQ lamb burgers. Blackberry and coconut notes, nicely put together.

This was an 89 the first day, and a 91 on day two. Needed time to open up apparently. I will try a second one, with a much longer decant.

Real De Aragon Centenaria Garnacha 2008, Do Calatayud

Made a mistake when I only bought one bottle of this. Very nice with lamb stew, but would pair nicely with most grilled meats I suspect.

Jacob's Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2009, Coonawarra, South Australia

I am not feeling the 91 points, but a pleasant Cab Sauv on sale at the $15 mark. A little more subtle than I was expecting and/or hoping. May not have been a good match to my steak.

Casas Del Bosque Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Maipo Valley

Had this with grilled steak, March 2019. Great pair, ready to drink now but should hold up for a while yet. Big win, long finish.

Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

This was a decent cab but a little too much of the Chilean green for my taste to warrant a 90. Still a decent wine for the sale price.

Luis Felipe Edwards Lfe 900 Single Vineyard Blend 2014, Colchagua Valley

Nov 2021 - this is drinking beautifully now. Full bodied, well integrated, dark red fruit. Fantastic with a pan seared steak with red wine reduction (this wine is too good to waste on the reduction - use sparingly).
